Purple Records will release a show from Montreux Casino,
Switzerland, October 4, 1969. It's a complete gig and will be released as a
double CD. The tracklist is: Speed King (Kneel And Pray), Hush, Child In Time,
Wring That Neck, Paint It Black, Mandrake Root and Kentucky Woman. The CD is
planned to be released in late November or early December.

Black Sabbath have released a new DVD which includes some
footage from 1983, when Ian Gillan was the singer in the band. The DVD
includes "Trashed", "Zero The Hero" and a interview with Ian

As we reported before, the new DVD with Steve Morse will be
released next month, November 10. The DVD is called "Sects, Dregs and Rock n'
Roll" and will include a concert with Dixie Dregs, Steve in concert in New York, interviews etc. Check out the full

Last friday (October 11), Roger Glover was guesting Gov't
Mule's concert at Beacon Theatre in New York. They did 2 songs together,
"Going Down" and "Maybe I'm A Leo". Read

There is a 2 page feature about Deep Purple's CD/DVD edition of

Ian Gillan has been working with a documentary since the Japan
tour March 2000. He has used his DV cam both on and off stage. Ian Paice has
now also joined the project and some material from pro sources is also in the
process of being compiled.

Several shows were recorded during the last tour with Jon Lord.
The second show at London's Hammersmith Apollo (with Iron Maiden), at
Birmingham's NEC and Jon's final in Ipswich. Video footage was also taken from
the tour for a possible future project.

Steve Morse forthcoming DVD will be released November 11 and
will be called "Sects, Dregs and Rock n' Roll". The DVD will include
a complete concert (mixed in 5.1 surround sound) with Dixie Dregs from 2001,
Steve in concert in New York (electric/acoustic show), a lengthy in-depth
interview and other various performances. The length approx 4 hours.

The Gov't Mule will go on tour and Roger Glover has been invited by Warren Haynes (who worked with Roger on "Snapshot") to come and jam with
them. Roger Glover will join them at Beacon
Theatre in New York on Friday 11th. October.

The latest issue of the Classic Rock Society magazine Rock
Society (issue 129, October 2002) contains an interview with Roger Glover
conducted between the US and German legs of the 2002 tour. Roger talks about
his new solo album "Snapshot" and Deep Purple. If you're interested in a copy

Roger Glover will appear in a new movie made by Phish bassist Mike
Gordon. The movie is a documentary about the recording session of Gov't Mule's
"The Deep End". It's called "Rising Low"
and will also feature other bass players such as Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers),
Jack Bruce (Cream), Les Claypool (Primus), etc. The film debuts at the Woodstock Film Festival
(USA) on Saturday (September 21) and will also be released on DVD
and VHS October 8.

Last night (September 18) at Deep Purple's concert at Colston
Hall, Bristol, England, Bernie Marsden (Whitesnake, U.F.O., Company Of Snakes
etc) joined Deep Purple
on stage. Together they did "Smoke On The Water" and some guitarjam. Read

Last night (September 12) at Deep Purple's concert at Clyde
Auditorium, Glasgow, Scotland, Dan MaCafferty of Nazareth joined Deep Purple
on stage. Together they did "Love Hurts". Read more in the review

joined Deep Purple for a few songs at their concert at Reno Hilton
Amphitheatre, Reno, NV, USA, July 30, 2002. We got some photos

Last night (September 7) at Deep Purple's concert in London's
Hammersmith Apollo, 3 members of Iron Maiden joined Deep Purple on stage
during Smoke On The Water. The drummer Nicko McBrain (congas and Paicey's
cymbals), guitarist Janick Gers and the singer Bruce Dickinson. Check out the photo

EMI's Box Set release: "Listen, Learn, Read On" will be released
October
28. EMI Sweden will release it already October 14. The Box has 6 CD's and
a 120 pages booklet. The 6 CD's include 74 Deep Purple songs from 1968-76, but
also pre Purple stuff. Several songs have never been released before. You can
view the whole set here.

Ronnie James Dio will release a limited tour edition of his latest album
"Killing
The Dragon"on September 30. It has however already been released in Germany.
It will include 2 tracks which featuring
Deep Purple. "Fever Dreams" and "Rainbow In The Dark",
both recorded live at the Ahoy in Rotterdam, Holland on the Concerto tour.
