The highlightsJust a short list, in no particular order, of what I liked about this DVD. Roger Glover relating the story of how a drunken Deep Purple wrote the song Black Night. (They still don't know what the song is about.) Jon Lord playing his Hammond, oh so wonderfully, and describing the evolution of 'the beast'. Martin Birch and Roger isolating different instruments on the soundboard and showing how they fit together to form the songs. Particularly Ian Gillan's voice on its own from the middle bridge of Never Before - just beautiful. Everyone complimenting everyone else. You can see that they have a great fondness for the times they had, good and bad. The film clip from the Hofstra University concert of Smoke On The Water. Yes, Ritchie does play SOTW with his thumb! How can we get Dick Clark to release the entire show? A great DVD release which I had no intention of buying until I read some of the reviews here. I'm very glad I did. Thanks Highway Star. Warmest Regards, P.S. Rasmus... How can I get one of those cool DP shirts that Ian Paice was wearing during the interview? [I haven't got the DVD yet, so I can't tell you. Rasmus]
