Spring of 1996

I still remember it as if it were yesterday. Sitting by the computer for my daily check of The Highway Star, in between class, overwhelmed with happiness by the sheer fact that I would get to see my favourite band for the second time. Deep Purple had confirmed a full blown summer tour of Sweden. I was speechless. Not soon after, I had the tickets in my hand, heavily anticipating what would probably become the band's weirdest visit to this country ever.

This feature was originally intended to coincide with the 5th anniversary of the tour, but better late than never. Cheers!
