I guess you can divide people in two groups, those who haven't heard the early Ozzy songs and those who have. I belong to the latter. I got excited when I first heard about this project, almost a year ago. I've been looking forward to hear Steve Morse play some of the more aggressive songs Randy Rhoads (guitar) did with Ozzy. However, the album starts with a new written song, titled Last Chance, a straightforward rocker, a bit like AC/DC. I Don't Know is the first Ozzy song and would perhaps been a better opener of the album than Last Chance. However, it's great to hear this kind of aggressive guitar playing by Steve. It works very well and Steve has added a lot of stuff and takes the song up to a new level. Solid playing by Lee and Bob. Every Moment A Lifetime is next, a new original. It's a very good laid back rocker. Crazy Train is next, another Ozzy song. It follows the original closely, except for the guitar solo. My first taste of Living Loud was when I heard an excerpt of In The Name Of God three months ago. Back then I said, "it's sounds very good". Now I finally hear the full song and it's great. Steve is playing some great oriental guitar, backed up with good work from Don. Overall good singing by Jimmy. Flying High Again is the next Ozzy song. It follows the original, but is lacking something. Pushed Me Too Hard is probably the best of the new written songs. Steve is awesome. Mr. Crowley is another song, which they should have stayed away from. I don't like the original song. Living Loud have however changed it a bit, but it's still doesn't make it. The guitar solo is good, but too short. Tonight is also an Ozzy song. Interesting choice. Sounds good. Walk Away is the last of the new written songs. Very good song, a little bit 'Kashmir Zeplish'. Over The Mountain is the final song of the album. Again, I really like when Steve plays those heavy riffs. Overall, this album rocks. These guys could have easy spent a bit longer time in the studio and written a few more new songs. They are good enough to stand on their own.
