The Royal Albert Hall Concerts 1999 - DPAS Convention and meeting place There is supposed to be a DPAS convention on the Sunday afternoon before the Royal Albert Hall concert. That is all the info we have so far but we'll post news about the convention as soon as we have it. These are the details we have so far:
Alternative plans
From: Rosemary & Chris Hayward After Driving around Kensington for a while, it became fairly obvious that any meeting would have to be near a Tube Station as there are no Pubs in the vicinity of the RAH. The best one is near High Street Kensington Underground Station.
DIRECTIONS.
The Pub is open from Midday Sunday and serves food for the rest of the day. It is a Simmons House so there should be some decent ales available for tasting (medicinal purposes only of course):-) From here it is about a half Mile walk to the RAH. If anyone needs any further directions then please let me know. So if you are coming from the UK, Europe or the USA, I hope to see you there. Chris The Goat Tavern is on Kensington High Street, opposite the Royal Garden Hotel, which is at the Kensington Palace Green end of High Street. The pub is open from 11:00AM on both Saturday and Sunday with food being served from opening time until well after we leave for RAH. Tel. no.: 0171-9371213. Nearest tube station is High Street Kensington John Tate I know that some people will be at The Goat Tavern already on Friday so have a look there on Friday too if you don't know what to do in the evening. Thanks to Nigel Young, Chris Hayward, Nick Robinson, Benny Holmström and John Tate. |
