March 11th 1991...
Not instantly recognisable as an important date, but for me, it has a lot of significance. It was the night I got to see Deep Purple live for the first time. Now, ten years after the event, I hope to not only revisit that show, but also discuss what still remains one of the most controversial tours of the reunion. Though I'm not going to directly discuss the Slaves & Masters album here, I still remember the day I found out that Joe Lynn Turner was replacing Gillan in the band. I walked into the Student Bar, and a friend remarked I looked as though my best friend had just kicked me in the balls...
