Missioned Souls go for a drive
This cover of Highway Star was done by a band of siblings from the Philippines, who apparently have become a minor YouTube sensation with a following of reactions, no less. The band is called Missioned Souls and includes ICE (age 11) on the drums, Stacey (12) on rhythm guitar and lead vocals, Neisha (14) on lead guitars, Naces (16) on bass and keyboards, with the whole affair produced and engineered by their dad Secan.

Thanks to Louder Sound for the heads-up.
I watched this yesterday, a good take on HS. That young drummer raised a smile or two. Glad I have retired from drumming these days with these young guns rearing their heads and ready to kick serious butt. All good fun. Cheers

the little motor on the drums keeps the band going nice and straight and will go a long way!
Also noteworthy is Lord’s solo played on the guitar by the girl!
April 11th, 2025 at 22:49The singer sounds like Joe Lynn Turner when he was in Purple 😀 great version of a great song by some mega stars of the future!
