I watched about the first minute or two of this crap. She obviously had no clue what she was talking about. Her mum was there on tour? She was about 6 or 7? What’d she play? A fisher price guitar? Her mum was carried out by one of Deep Purple’s singer’s? WHAT?
I had to turn it off. Seeing her wearing that shirt and watching her struggling like she was made me nauseaus. I was waiting for Dempster to say something at least halfway intelligent. His only redemption was came when they played the video. At least he was into the music. She was sitting there laughing like a twit. If this is her family history you would think she would’ve been a little more knowledgable and respectful.
#1 David, John Coletta was Deep Purple’s manager in the 60s & 70s. His daughter (the girl’s mom) was likely travelling with her dad on the tour and the band would have known her. That Gillan carried the little girl out of the burning theatre is a touching peice of history
The point of these reaction videos is that they are naive. They have no clue about the band or song. They listen and react.
The woman knows next to nothing about Deep Purple.
It would have been so easy to do a little bit of research on the band and the song before committing this “reaction video” (really?) to the world. Imagine that 48 years later, “the lead singer does not look like that any more …I don’t know if all of them are alive any more”. She really said that!
It’s all very disrespectful to the band and its founders.
If, when I was 18, I had made a ”film” of me and a mate reacting to a song recorded 48 years previously (relatively speaking … recorded in 1929) we wouldn’t have been much more clued up than they are (except that we were crazy about all types of music and also learning to play guitar.
I think we forget that kids are unlikely to give a stuff about anything we are passionate about ….especially when it happened 5 decades ago. 😀

So bad sound.. unfortunately. 😀
September 12th, 2020 at 09:01Appearantly Coletta s granddaughter also thinks money.
Scoring clicks by the Deep Purple fans she appears not to have much clue.
Nice touch though to wear a The Battle Rages On t shirt. I wonder who did put this detail in the mix for her.
