Thanks to Gary Poronovich and Blabbermouth for the info.
I hope Space Ace has somebody else singing !
July 24th, 2020 at 23:03I’ll look forward to not listening to this. Most covers of purple tunes are awful imho. Cant beat perfection
July 25th, 2020 at 16:18The organ sounds like a free vst.
July 26th, 2020 at 10:18I would agree
July 26th, 2020 at 19:35Who needs a ‘guitar stand’ trying to play a song that’s written and played by real musicians?
July 27th, 2020 at 10:59Can’t see here on Mars!👽
July 27th, 2020 at 12:22I could actually imagine Space Ace – non-singing voice and all – doing this very well, it kinda fits his canon and was never one of DP’s more sophisticated works. It’s a bit of rock’n’roll fun with a couple of Motown-loaned breaks at the beginning and in the middle. The chromatic chorus run – lifted from the 60ies Batman TV series according to DP’s Knight in Black – always sounded a little throwaway to me. That’s not to say that the song doesn’t have charm, but the tabernacle of DP songwriting craft it is not.
And while there must be hundreds of thousands guitarists out there with better chops than Ace, his ‘stutter’n’stumble’ flurry-of-notes-falling-over-each-other style while soloing is truly idiosyncratic.
July 27th, 2020 at 15:09Best cover of Trucking was made by William Shatner. You can’t go higher than that.
July 27th, 2020 at 23:36Covers are what they are. Sometimes they are great and sometimes they suck but most of the time they are just meh….
July 28th, 2020 at 13:51I love Space Ace – Hope he gives it a garage band sound to it. Simplifying the guitar parts is great for us hacker players to learn!!

A totally waste of time…
Wait for the new DP-album and have a nice Day!
July 28th, 2020 at 15:41Out of curiosity,I sat through 1 full listen. It will be my last.
July 28th, 2020 at 15:44He’s enhanced the comic book character of it und made it his own. As I expected. Good Fun.
Kiss aren’t art und never professed to be. They’re entertainers.
July 28th, 2020 at 22:43@ 8, Agree… Mr Shatner “Rocks”! 👏
July 29th, 2020 at 13:42@8&15 – No one can argue the talents of William Shatner. A level that can’t be reached by many! This is Space Ace…
I loved it! Funny and fun.. Great for a small venue live but Ace never comes to Toronto…
July 30th, 2020 at 13:38Not a masterpiece by any means but like I said before, this is the kind of stuff that gives me inspiration to practice and play guitar. The sound is not unachievable for us hacks!
Oh my, that sucked.
