Well, I suppose the royalties add to the bank balance for David….

August 8th, 2016 at 11:44I guess even if Coverdale didn’t get a single dime from the add I would say that he could make thousands from the free advertisement of his song which is translated into merchandise. Eat your heart out DP family!!!!
August 9th, 2016 at 00:03That vid is cute and although I will forever prefer the original version with Jon’s Hammond intro it just goes to show how that song has become a part of American folklore – no mean feat for the two songwriters. Jasper Coverdale probably had a very proud first day back in school (plus some good-natured comments from his school buddies) and Bernie Marsden might buy another house very soon.
August 9th, 2016 at 12:14Oh C’mon Stoff…. anytime a song is picked up by an ad exec to promote a product or anything to sell, it is Win Win for the owner of that song. No Matter What the sales pitch is. Hell, that would be a great song for “Depends” to use…… “Here I Go Againnnnnnnnnnnnnn”

August 9th, 2016 at 22:00Hey, at least Bernie M. gets a piece of the royalties.
August 10th, 2016 at 00:14Presumably David C. doesn’t need the money, but I’ll bet Mr. Marsden could use a few extra shillings.
@4 Jasper will be 20 in a week 😉
