The Harp Twins cover Smoke
Twin sisters Camille and Kennerly Kitt, better knows as the Harp Twins, made their name by playing covers of rock tunes and music from the movies arranged for two harps. And being very easy on the eye doesn’t hurt either. 😉 Their latest instalment is Smoke on the Water:
Frankly, this one leaves me a bit cold. I guess some tunes just don’t translate well onto acoustical harp. Compare it to their take on Iron Maiden’s Fear of the Dark, which IMHO is pretty awesome:
Thanks to Dave Hodgkinson for the info.
This one’s pretty cool, too.

September 1st, 2013 at 06:31It gets around so much before it reaches this pot, no longer is it actually news by then. Okay, the Stepford factor does come to mind with this lot. 😀

September 1st, 2013 at 19:19Musically speaking, they are both interesting versions, maintaining the melody & they are playing ‘traditional’ instruments also.
September 3rd, 2013 at 00:31Good to hear. “Fear of the dark, fear of the dark, I have a constant fear that something is always near”………Cheers.
It’s OK but lets not HARP on this too much………………………….

September 6th, 2013 at 17:42You re right Michiel.
And I m so bored with hearing SOTW, in whatever version!!!!
I cant stand it that the song is known almost vby everyone on earth but they dont know dipshit about what the DP bands and offshoots made besides that.
It is also masshysteria.
My sister hated my music but years later when SOTW had become a mainstream song she smiled and said oh yeah, I know that song from when we were young.
PUKE!!!!
