Windows on Youtube
A complete video of the 1974 Windows performance has appeared on Youtube. It was perhaps the most experimental of Jon’s work and people tend to either love it or hate it (myself falling firmly into the former category). This is rather long, including several parts that were omitted from the album.
If that’s your cup of tea, sit back and enjoy!

Thanks to landinleonardo for uploading this.
This has been noticed on YOUTUBE by me ages ago.
I must have referred to it.
I d like to know….
Does Lord have the acces, energy or rights concerning a DVD release?
I would really embrace that.
LandInLeonardo, whoever you are, thank you for your efforts anyway.
Cheers, Mark
August 6th, 2010 at 11:35As you may notice, the Video is longer than the Audio-release. It contains some special performaces by German actor Klaus Löwitzsch as speaker.
It would be interesting whether the new reamstered CD has the missing parts.

August 7th, 2010 at 12:28It´s very inprovised, but between the studio thing and the improvising parts, it means very (should I say) “avant-garde” and “lifted” because the speaker (German actor Klaus Löwitsch) told us a “story” without a context and without signification.
I don´t know what he means. I don´t understand the sense of his story – AS a german, it should be easy for me to understand … but I don´t …
Because of that, I gave it the title: “artistic licence” !!
For the music: Rock meets classic in the beginning (1974)
The musicians: Jon, Pete, David, Glenn, Tony, Ray … are awesome or in german: GEIL !!!
Not my love … but it´s okay

August 7th, 2010 at 13:03I’ve just spent a very enjoyable hour and a bit watching this! I love this work and seeing it on film makes it even more enjoyable! I nearly wore out the LP when it was released and it still makes the hair in the back of my neck stand up when I hear it!

August 7th, 2010 at 17:36Been going around for years… exactly why it hasn’t been released I don’t know, it sure would be nice to see it in better quality.
August 8th, 2010 at 08:02That´s amazing! l love everything with jon lord and this thing with a hammondorgan in a orchestra is very good!
August 8th, 2010 at 16:41How this has not yet been released in full on DVD is a mystery to me.
August 8th, 2010 at 17:57Too late for me. The videos has been removed by the user …
August 9th, 2010 at 22:29Maybe finally someone woke up and thought…..
I M GONNA REALISE IT MYSELF!!!!!!
Good luck to you, Jon.
Maybe Simon Robinson is the perfect man to organise a GOOD product.
August 10th, 2010 at 13:24He has the knowledge and love to do it.
I had a really bad quality VHS of this performance. I just downloaded the whole YOUTUBE version, transferred it to DVD. Much better than my original….guess I did it just in time since it apparently has now been removed from the site. I viewed it for the first time now. Some parts are awesome, others are not….All is Love and Love is All…
Cheers

Oooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
August 16th, 2010 at 22:28Talking about DVD s…..
I bought a new player.
But I hesitated.
As far as I can understand Blu Ray will become the new format after DVD.
It will replace DVD players completely ????
I know lots of releases are not taking place due to the idea that everything will be downloaded/copied and so on.
Understandable to a certain degree.
Could it be that Blu Ray Discs are better equipped to protect agains burning and so on?
Is David waiting for something like that?
Or is that he does not own the rights?
Worse, does he dislike his former bandmates Marsden/Moody so much that he does not want to help them with more royalties?
August 28th, 2010 at 13:06Do they still even get royalties?!
Priest, Blue Ray is just another format of DVD. The Disk itself holds much more information on it than a standard Disk and therefore allows for more quality. A Blue Ray player will also play standard DVD disks. Blue Ray is actually already Old Hat. Now, Blue Ray 3D is out along with 3D TVs. I doubt Coverdale is concerned about the format.
