Each clip will be presented by Jon Lord discussing the song’s development, in the similar vein with the outtakes that we presented yesterday.
Items marked as a “new clip” are newly developed videos using archival documentary material from the period. For example, we were able to preview Child in Time, which in itself is a very much work in progress. The clip is based around the studio album soundtrack with bits of Doing Their Thing footage synchronized to it in appropriate places. The rest of video shows period footage with the apparent idea of conveying the sense of uneasiness and apprehension of growing up in the shadow of the Mutually Assured Destruction, which is after all the theme of the song’s lyrics.
nice! it will be interesting to see what they do to ‘construct’ these ‘new’ clips!? looking forward to the space truckin’ footage! hopefully all 20 plus minutes (yeah right)! onward to the full existing MIJ footage DVD after this teaser.
August 4th, 2010 at 01:07Jon Lord always gives a great interview. Gonna have to pay the price for the new clips!!!
August 4th, 2010 at 21:58Not the “girl on a motorcycle” video for SKOW from the “History” DVD again! Once is enough already!
August 4th, 2010 at 22:03….just a second…..a couple of unreleased things…..and the rest is repackaged well-known stuff? who wnants “new” clips? I beg your pardon, this yet another cash-in….shame!
August 5th, 2010 at 16:02Well it looks like they’re gonna drip feed us the MiJ footage. It’s a proven fool proof method of getting as many people as possible to cough up for material they already have….
I’m a mug though – I’ll have to have it for the MiJ footage alone. They don’t say though how long the Space Truckin’ clip is….
August 5th, 2010 at 16:15Perhaps it is funny to know MUG in Dutch means mosquito?
Do you prefer to be a parasite or a stupid wanna have it all fan?
August 5th, 2010 at 21:42#6, purplepriest1965, Ibelieve we’re on the same wavelength, believe it or not. I don’t fancy parasites, and I am polar opposite of a “wanna have it all fan”.
Citronella on the skin tonight while outside. Mosquitos flying and landing rampant on the largest oegan of the human body. Bellies full of a potpourri of plasma. Such Bela Legosi fanatics!!!!
Peace,
Ted
August 6th, 2010 at 00:34@4 simple solution to this.. don’t buy it. No one is forcing you..
August 6th, 2010 at 07:30I love watching Mosquitoes drink and fill up on my plasma which is laden with Kentucky Whiskey….One part Whiskey, one part blood. They sit, drink and stumble away, usually unable to fly. Then when they fall off to the floor, I take a needle and do to him, what he did to me. Poke a hole in him and watch My Blood drain from his now lifeless body.
Too much time on my hands…..
Cheers
August 6th, 2010 at 17:52The mosquitos that do sting are FEMALES.
How typical….
August 7th, 2010 at 15:20They’d better to release Perfect Strangers’ 25th annyversary in 2009!
August 15th, 2010 at 11:43George, wake up……
Its almost 2011!!!!
It might give someone a very good album by the Purps.
Whats your guess?
August 15th, 2010 at 21:44To the “Child in Time” prieview:
scene 00:02:11 and 00:04:36 are from the “Black Night” Clip Hamburg 1970
scene 00:06:30 are from Montreux 1971
other scenes from Granada TV 1970
Think, this clip is composed of several concerts
