   Yesterday I witnessed the Zoetermeer gig.
   It was SUPERBE!!!!!!!
   Only 125 audience, what a shame
   Band and audience kept smiling all night long
   Last encore was Gimme Some Lovin
   I think she also played an insrumental rendition of Somewhere over the rainbow which I like d very much
   Many Don Airey solos in FULL DP Hammond style
   The tracks of the new soloalbum went down very well with me and everybody else

   Got him to sign my vinyl edition of Lost In Hollywood, the bootlegrecording of Rainbow 1981 show in AHOY, Rotterdam
   I m not sure but maybe it was the cover with the pornographic pic which made give me a weary look?
   Two autographs to go, Ritchie and Roger……UNtill hell freezes over perhaps?

   The singer I had to get used to first but eventually won us all over and gave us a good Graham Bonnet and reminded me in places of a certain singer on Cozy Powell solo albums . Elmer Granty?

   Gotta sign off now, maybe later

   Fender is a Fender (it remids to me a mixture between BlacKmore and Tormè)

   perhaps on the 1st solo guitar along the voice he should use the bottle-neck; good singing

   nice jamming,the guitar is a little shy…

   I would like to have seen MR CROWLEY here,just because I think that the MR CROWLEY intro by Don Airey is one of the best thing of the history of ROCK!

   well,it is a pity that this good cover band misses in Italy,I would have enjoyied them surely…

   I know that some people wont accept bootlegs when signing autographs and I sort of could understand but after all those years and it concerns a vinyl…..

   I thought…..wtf……And confronted Bobby Rondinelli with it first a few years ago after a drumclinic and last year it was JLT s turn

   Probably Ritchie and Roger will refuse?
   I NEVER got to meet my idol can you believe it?

   I hope someone will post more clips of the stuff

   I loved the A LIGHT IN THE BLACK part in Lost in Hollywood

   BTW.
   Years ago I read a review of a GARY MOORE gig which said that parts of A Light In The Black were clearly audible in something called BLINDER?
   Does anyone know or remember?
   I suppose it was during the victims of the future gig in Nijmeegen in 84, I think.
   Don was NOT in that line up but could he have been the source which, ahem, interpolated the instrumental passages into something of the Gary Moore live show?

   Lawrence is a well respected man, it seems.
   I do own a Tony Martin cd Back where I Belong with him on it, I think.

   In Zoetermeer the sight of only 125 people was a bit depressing but hey…they kept on screaming for more after the last encore.

   Talking about Morse
   I recall having him signing my Purpendicular tour programme

   Yep, very friendly and so on…..

   But some people, incl yours truly wondered how things could have worked out in DP with someone like Rob Harris. Any relation to the Iron Maiden bass player?
   Although he does not look much like a rock God he did a very fine job and was not all over the place like SM usually does.
   I always thought Don to be synth man mainly but tonight he was really bombarding us with the HAMMOND.

    I’m just coming back from Verviers, and we had a great show there too !! After the show Don told us there might be a second tour later this year !! Maybe Scandinavia this time, or Italy. All I ask him is to come back to Belgium or near 😉

    And btw Purplepriest I’ve seen Roger signing bootlegs, so I think the hadest signature to have is the one from the man in black !

    After a DP show in Rotterdam I went to the Hilton and had several official things signed once by Ian Gillan
    He looked kinda sceptical towards my pile which I brought along

    Maybe he thought I was one of those ebay jugglers trying to make lots of cash out of diehard fans?
    Or more possible, he must have thought ….Why do we have lunatics like that amongst the fans?

    I always felt a bit weird asking autographs
    I mean……How low can you go?
    And espescially when you are acting like a maniac with too much items?

    It would have been nice tp pick less items BUT signed by all instead of too much items signed by just a part of the band.

    I NEVER met RB and I m sure it will be very risky to ask him to sign anything
    DP and Rainbow?

    A second tour for Don is a very goood idea!

    Carl Sentance is a great, underrated vocalist. Got a bootleg of A Whole Lotta Metal-show(with Tony Martin & Matt Moreton), and the man sings his heart out on some rock classics…impressive!! I’m a little bit late, but got my copy of the Light in Black in post, should be worthwhile the wait!

    Part of the dissappointment is that the clip of Lost in H ends before the part from A LIGHT IN THE BLACK begins
