Helsinki 1993 TV report
This report of the last Mk2 gig was shown in Finnish TV next morning, November 18, 1993. Gillan’s interview seems to have been done before the Helsinki show.

And, to wrap the things up, here’s another TV episode from that tour rehearsals two months earlier:

Amazing times.
August 14th, 2008 at 21:14Amazingly old and already widely circulated information, surprised I even clicked on this, I guess it’s here for former line up coverage balance or something?
August 14th, 2008 at 23:02A close watch reveals an interesting psychological study: The sunglasses, gesticulations, inflections, long pauses of thought before giving stock answers–and amazingly prophetic comments.
So DP is over when the oil runs out? They say we have from 50 to 100 years left. I can live with that.

August 15th, 2008 at 14:10The “good old BAD days”…..A part of me misses RB but my common sense says good riddance! We have a DP today thanks to Ritchie´s absence!
August 15th, 2008 at 19:32Thought I´d never say this,and I probably gonna regret it but…..Where are you “Purplepriest”?????If it´s vacation I wish you a happy holiday,if it´s a trip to the GaGa house I wish you good mental health(just kiddin´)!!I miss your chant:Ritchie is God,Ritchie is God…..etc,etc,etc!!!

August 19th, 2008 at 15:06Ian forgets, if it wasn’t for Ritchie he wouldn’t be where he is today. Ritchie was the driving force in the band & got them where they are today. His guitar stands out in all the albums & grabs at your’e attention. I’m getting sick & tired of DP & the media’s portral of him. He is uptight & mad sometimes , but boy can he play. All those Rainbow & DP albums stand up & sound very good till this day. His work still sounds modern & fresh, it doesn’t sound outdated at all. Haven’t heard the Son Of Alerek in a long time , this blew me away & shows how good he is. The solos he plays are just amazing , nobody hits your’e brain like he does. Definatley the best or up there with the best . He made the hard rock sound along with Black Sabbath.
August 25th, 2008 at 12:53Ian’s bad habits are never mentioned , what botherd Ritchie was he wouldn’t sing the lyrics of a couple of songs . He would just forget & then would make fun of the whole point to the audience , one of the songs was Twist In the Tale, in this interview in Darker than Blue magazine!
