THS and ROTD on Swedish Radio
ROTD will be premiered on Swedish national radio on Saturday. Two full tracks will be played and commenting on the album is THS editor Svante Pettersson. Er, that would be me then. 🙂 Tune in to P4 and “Dist” at 18.06 local time on Saturday. The show will be available for one week on the show’s web site.
Congrats, Svante. I’ll try to listen to the show via Web, even though I don’t think I can understand Swedish. It’s a shame – the mother of my great-grandfather was born there, in Malmö. My grandfather still recalls the way his uncle taught him, as a kid, to beat his chest and shout “I am from Swedish Navy” in Swedish. My generation had no cultural heritage from Sweden. Only decades-old postcards written in a very different language. But I digress.

No worry. Neither do Ian Gillan or any of the guys, as far as I’ve heard! 🙂
Thanks for info, btw!

I wouldn´t be too sure about that I hear they plan to play specialised swedish versions of such songs as: “Pengar Pratar”, “Falsk Man”, the title track “Djup-Rus”, “Entydig Tämligen Meninglös”, “Kyssa Morgon Färväl”, “Avfallsuplag Blues” and of course “Förrän Tid Börjar” as well which is one of the highlights.;)
Skål!
October 13th, 2005 at 18:21Whoa! I’m impressed, Milan!
October 13th, 2005 at 18:33Me too, though did you forget “Musiktelevisionen”, or ain’t they gonna play it? 😉
October 14th, 2005 at 00:07Haha, don´t be I had to look almost all execept “Falsk Man” up and as I did look up every single word on it´s own it would be mere concidence if they even made sense when combined. 🙂
And no Atle, this time I was sticking to my personal favourites only, hence the selection. 😉
October 14th, 2005 at 06:12I was listen to the show and since I’m norwegian I understood most of it. They played the title track and they played the track called “MTV” that was absolutely great. A very interesting song with a lot of things going on. Thank you Svante.
October 15th, 2005 at 14:05Where exactly is that “listen again” function on the show´s website?
October 15th, 2005 at 16:20Milan… it’s called “senaste programmet” try that and Purple and Svante is on after a while in the show. Roligt att höra nya purple låtar på svensk radio Svante!!
October 16th, 2005 at 04:54In the menu on the left side is a little speaker icon and the text “Senaste programmet”. Click on that. The DP bit starts at 19:08 into the show.
October 16th, 2005 at 05:56Thanks for the info, though I don´t know why I asked because I know the songs anyway and don´t really understand much (spoken) swedish. 🙂
October 16th, 2005 at 11:47That’s what I was thinking too but who am I to know what weird interests you might have? :^)
October 16th, 2005 at 12:05Naming Milan’s interests ‘weird’ is The understatement of the day! 🙂
