While Bobby is out seeing the Ex-Purple guitar player Brendan (GillansInn@aol.com), Jon (InRock1970@aol.com), and I just saw the current Purple guitarist Steve Morse at the guitar summit.

The Summit included performances by Kenny Burrell, Jorma Kaukonen, Manuel Barrueco, and of course Steve Morse. The show was wonderful. I heard some great guitar playing tonight.

We spoke with Steve after the show. He was genuinely excited, to be with Deep Purple. Steve was one of the nicest people you'd ever want to meet. He stayed for about an hour after the show chatting about everything. He said Roger Glover drove him to the airport with the new recording blasting on the stereo. He also said the other Deep Purple members are like brothers to him.

"The Highland" has a new title it is now "The Aviator", and will be on the album according to Steve. Brendan, and Jon will have more to say about this show, and more conversations with Steve.
