Come up with something good
Yahoo carries a short interview with Don Airey, attributed to DPA (Deutsche Presse-Agentur). Like many other of his publicity appearances these days, it was done on the occasion of his upcoming solo album Pushed To The Edge.
At first glance, Don Airey might not strike you as a rockstar. Even in the 1980s, when the current Deep Purple organist and keyboardist played for Rainbow and Ozzy Osbourne, he didn’t fit the stereotype.
Yet for decades, the 76-year-old has been a driving force in the hard rock scene, delivering the powerful soundscapes behind the power chords.
On his new solo album Pushed To The Edge, the rock veteran steps it up even further.
Heavy guitar riffs, a piercing scream and the powerful sound of a Hammond organ — right from the opening track “Tell Me” there’s no doubt about which direction this album is taking us.
“I definitely wanted it to be a bit heavier than the one before,” Airey told dpa in an interview in London.

DPA is not exactly a heavy rock-focused news outlet. Considering that the interview is perfectly fine and reasonably illuminating. I‘ve read worse.
