What’s not to like?!

Simon McBride talks about touring with Deep Purple with his guitar company PRS. Sounds like a thinly veiled commercial, don’t say you haven’t been warned.

    I actually like that Simon eschews Fender and Gibson, there is nothing wrong with PRS at all. I’m not too crazy about their look, especially the flamed maple tops which were en vogue in the 80s, but they sound fine and quite variable.

    Having that backing from the PRS company and the versatility of their guitars would be a very good thing. They have their popularity and Martin Barre went to PRS many years ago, especially for live performance. Martin still uses his trusty old Fenders, Les Paul’s and other Gibsons in the studio. I quite like the PRS from the guitarists that use them that I listen to. They have never made me ‘cringe’ with their sound like a few other brands have. The old horses trundling along that old course again I suppose. Cheers.
