I ain’t pretty and my legs are thin
Another criminal video clip — cover of Fleetwood Mac’s Oh Well premiered on November 5, 2021.
The label and management swears that nobody from the band or crew, nor members of the media, were hurt during the production of this video.
There is also an audio only single:
Compare Purple version to the original.
I always loved this song but now even more. What a great job the boys do on it.
November 5th, 2021 at 15:51It’s great to know that the band can still produce such a brilliant sound. Can’t wait for the release date.
This is no less than friggin’ brilliant.
At this rate they can do covers for the rest of their collective lives if you ask me (no one ever does).
Ian following John McCoy’s giant footsteps almost four decades later, who’d have thought …

November 5th, 2021 at 15:58How does a band in studios continents apart come up with something as inventive and together as this? A cover album would not have been my choice in a perfect world, but I guess that one from DP in this kind of form will just about do. Well, it will do pretty well, in fact! Certainly better than the alternative … which I guess is nothing. What I really enjoy is that it is different from the original and yet somehow retains its innate character. Much better than the covers on the recent Ezrin albums which I find a bit throwaway.
November 5th, 2021 at 16:18Fantastic version, Gillan and Morse on top form here !
November 5th, 2021 at 16:31I like it. It sounds like 70’s Purple.
November 5th, 2021 at 17:08I had my doubts when I heard it was going to be a covers album. After hearing these two songs Iam doubting no more. They have done it again.
Cool, looking forward to the full cd…
November 5th, 2021 at 18:21I prefer the McCoy version.
November 5th, 2021 at 20:25Cool! Well done guys. Imaginative, and of course great music.

November 5th, 2021 at 22:54Two for two on the songs released thus far. I was kind of meh on them doing a cover album, but this is great stuff. Looking forward to the full album.
November 6th, 2021 at 03:09Awesome I can’t believe how cool this video, well done everyone involved.
November 6th, 2021 at 06:24Forever in love with DP
Peace
Only Deep Purple can take a cover song and make it sound……. Like a Deep Purple Song! This is really TOP SHELF STUFF. Gillans vocals… Majestic.. Steve Morse… What a Top Guitar solo just mesmerising, and his cool chops at the end remind me of The aviator or even Just a Touch away. Roger.. Rock Solid as ever Paicey just effortless and Don magnificently cool. I cant wait for this album to come out. Brilliant work!! Really want to hear them Smash WHITE ROOM!
November 6th, 2021 at 07:29VERY CLEVER VIDEO….AND THE MUSIC STRONG…MORSE IS MISSING FROM THE VIDEO CLIP BUT THE MUSKS DONT LET IT BE OBVIOUS…ONLY IN PRISON HE APPEARS
November 6th, 2021 at 10:53Awesome once again!
November 6th, 2021 at 14:52Thanks Deep Purple!
DP just continues to amaze me. Still rocking after all these years. Not to mention recording new music. Brilliant!!! Is there a harder working band? Not likely. Cheers DP. So happy I was able to see you twice in concert. You Rock!
November 6th, 2021 at 17:42One of my favorite songs played by one of my favorite bands. Freakin great.
November 7th, 2021 at 01:04Old -good Rock ‘n’ Roll and video . Good job everyone
November 7th, 2021 at 08:20I an a little bit disappointed for this song because Gillan doesn’t sing it enough..
November 7th, 2021 at 09:16I liked it. Between this and “7 and 7 is” i pulled the trigger and preordered the LP
November 7th, 2021 at 20:49I like their version of 7 an 7 is … that’s just brilliant.
This version they made of Oh well doesn’t do it for me. I don’t like it.
The movie… Nice Ford Transit… and that’s all I will (and can) say about that.
Next!
November 7th, 2021 at 21:12I am not sure anyone noticed but there is one more song released on Tidal (and maybe on other streaming platforms). It’s called Rockin’ Pneumonia And The Boogie Woogie Flu. Nothing special – typical Gillan rock’n’roll. Reminds me a bit of Purple People Eater from Gillan/Glover project.
November 8th, 2021 at 08:27Yes its available via Qobuz too, I quite like the rock’n’roll vibe. Love the few bars of SOTW!
November 8th, 2021 at 23:44I must admit I wish they had recorded all of part II, not just the bit before the fade.
November 9th, 2021 at 15:57I’m digging the synths Don used on this and the other song. They really tie the room together.
