A new album, an old label, and a Xmas EP

Blackmore’s Night will release their new album called Nature’s Light some time in the spring of 2021. To that extent they’ve signed up with their old label — Edel/earMUSIC — which back in the day had released their first two albums. Yep, they are on the same record label as Deep Purple now. The new album will be followed by a reissue of the band’s entire catalog later in the year.

To put something on the market in the meanwhile, there will be a 4-track EP of Christmas carols called Here We Come A-Caroling due out on December 4. It will be released on a digipack CD, a limited edition 10″ translucent green vinyl (US vinyl is expected a week later — December 11), and as download/streaming.

Here We Come A-Caroling track listing:

  1. Here We Come A-Caroling (Vinyl Side A)
  2. It Came Upon A Midnight Clear (Vinyl Side A)
  3. O Little Town Of Bethlehem (Vinyl Side B)
  4. Silent Night (Vinyl Side B)

    A Light in the Black.
If You´re not interested in this, keep that to Yourself.

I´ve seen the Man in Black several times, with DP, with Rainbow (then & now) and with Blackmore´s Night.
    Never ever I´ve been disappointed.
One of a kind of a Person.
    True Legend.

Just enjoy the magic of Music.
We all need all the strength now we get anywhere it´s possible to get from.

    Hiza… very good words!!
I too have seen Blackmore in DP, Rainbow and now BN.
He is a musician supreme – take the time and listen to the notes. Listen to the skill.
Watch a video of the BN concerts and pay attention to his playing; a master is at work.

Lets remember, he is 75 years old and maybe that loud guitar work no longer plays well in his aging ears. We should be lucky that he is still recording and touring.

    Peace and tranquility to all!

No idea why people have to be negative about someone who gave us some of the greatest moments ever in music and is now, happy in his dotage, making music he enjoys with his wife and still producing some absolute magical playing. Shameful.

One has to hope your family supports you when you get old and still shares in your life.

Better still, if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing.

I personally will look forward to the new releases as will many. Ritchie is doing what he wants to, as he always has, and still creating great music ( as indeed Purple are ). I’m a veteran of over 70 gigs with Purple, Rainbow and Blackmore’s Night and one thing consistently stands out….Quality musicianship. BN music is not to everyone’s taste which is fine. Ritchie’s legendary status is still very mu
    ch intact
