Montreux calling
Montreux Jazz Festival is not happening this year just like everything else. They’ve decided to celebrate their 54th summer by posting a series of select performances from the past years. Yesterday they posted clips from the 2011 Deep Purple performance. Yep, that’s the year when the band toured with orchestras.
The festival promises to donate streaming revenues from the videos to the National Museum of African American Music. You can also contribute directly.
It would be amazing if they would stream something that is not officially published, there are enough DP shows (2000, 2004, 08…….)

July 16th, 2020 at 12:13@ 1. Basel , Bananas release party would be great to do.
Way back I had to watch it in an Internet TV session because a real computer was only in the cards for 2010.
People here know I m mad, well sort of, but I always kinda liked the album.
Never understood why they sabotaged themselves with that shitartwork from a trip made by Roger in one of those …. peep….countries.
I do recall having seen the Basel show on youtube. Dont think it was an official release?
