It’s hard to believe that the passing of Little Richard marked the saddest day of Ian Paice’s life, as he says in the video. If that’s the case, Paice has been very privileged to live 70-plus years and not have any family members or close friends die.
May 11th, 2020 at 19:18Incredibly well said. Ian is so cool, I met him many times throughout the years and he’s always been nothing but a gentlemen. When his time comes I will feel the same way for him as he does for Little Richard. May that time be many years away. For all of us!

It might not have come off the way he intended it to but I think Ian meant it in his musical life only. Yes his parents passing away would have to be a lot worse. Personnel deaths are always more tragic.
