Live from Minstrel Hall
Ritchie Blackmore and Candice Night posted a track of Diamond and Rust with reworked lyrics, recorded at their home in Long Island.
And apparently it went so well that on March 28 they did a whole hour of live music:
Thanks to deeppurpleos and Alexander Pronyakin for reposting the videos from the walled garden to youtube.
They did. And it was very good and very funny. Candice explaining to the audience about poor Ritchie communicating still via carrier pigeon and smoke signals ๐
March 29th, 2020 at 13:02They came back on later in the evening to do some additional songs including Soldier of Fortune.

This is wonderful.
March 29th, 2020 at 15:44It’s great to listen to Ritchie and Candice playing again. It’s much more natural sounding than the new Rainbow.
I hope they continue for a long time.
I thought that it was excellent. Candice’s singing on the First of May was sublime and seemed to put Ritchie into a reverie.
March 29th, 2020 at 18:09This sounds so good. Amazing how well Ritchie plays acoustic guitar. Way more natural than the latest Rainbow stuff.
March 29th, 2020 at 18:23excellent initiative from them ….

April 1st, 2020 at 20:48I thought this was very generous and thoughtful of Candice and Ritchie. I loved it. Music in its most natural form. Fabulous to hear them playing We can work it out and Ritchie even singing.

Al at 20. Get a life fella. He is 75 this montth, what do you expecg of him, it was great to see him relax and play and Candice sounded ace. Oh hang on, of course we live in an age where Sean Connery could still play James Bond and Dayley Thompson can sill win gold medals. Get a life and stop with the negative waves, everyone else seems happy

Chill out number 20.
April 3rd, 2020 at 19:14I’m not a Blackmore’s Night fan so I didn’t anticipate that I’d want to watch the whole long video. I’m really glad I did.
What a lovely rapport they’ve got. That’s beautiful. There were some really emotional moments in that music.

April 4th, 2020 at 16:08I just ‘discovered’ Blackmore’s Night on a search for Christmas carols better than Perry Como or Wayne Newton, etc. I cried listening to O come o come Emmanuel. I’m not used to crying, I’m a soldier and a sailor, a tinker and a teacher. I’ve experienced listening to songs sung as they would have sounded before my first immigrant ancestor left his father and mother behind in Somersetshire. Songs he knew, I am sure, his father being the Rector at High Ham in 1660. Keep on making this wonderful musical journey, I’ll be listening from now on.
