Dead Daisies on tour
A whole bunch of new European dates have been announced today for The Dead Daisies. In some of the bigger venues they will be opening for either Judas Priest or Foreigner, while headlining at smaller ones. The tour starts on May 29 in Essen, Germany, and will take them through Estonia, Russia, Czech Republic, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Spain, Netherlands, Slovakia, Italy, Hungary, Slovenia, Greece, Bulgaria, and Romania — a whopping 18 countries in a bit less than 2 months. Tickets are either already available, or will go on sale shortly.
Full details in our calendar.
Great news let’s hope all goes well and Glenn don’t fall out with anyone fom the band or vice versa.

February 12th, 2020 at 13:28An Aussie millionaire’s folly or not, that is going to be interesting and I’ll see them at least once! A Hughes gig where Dough Aldrich played lead in a trio format ranks among my all-time favorite Hughes (and Aldrich) performances. Instead of his typical Whitesnake “wall of (severely processed) sound”, Aldrich played remarkably funky, bluesy & with great taste – he even reminded me of the rather sparse Mel Galley in places.
February 12th, 2020 at 14:21Looking forward to hearing this band live and on record. Saw Glenn Hughes with Doug Aldrich in Singapore back in 2015, a fantastic show – great chemistry between them.
February 13th, 2020 at 21:19Hopefully they will tour Canada at some point. Not sure if they could go it alone but I am sure they could find someone from the label to do a double bill tour….
February 14th, 2020 at 15:27Unfortunately Glenn Hughes does not have a much of a market here in Toronto and the Daisies are viewed as a rich guy’s cover band. Support act only….
Dear Citizens of the great Purple-family Music!
Why some of you are so serious and angry with your opinions? -“He and he destroyed Purple and if this and that had not happened and his voice is gone and he never ever could not sing etc…”?!
Maybe here are some facts!
Enjoy now! It is great that those artists still are able to play and sing their music. They are doing gigs around the world. Who do you think of the Purple family musicians will be alive or dead after 5 or 10 years (if this world will be existing)? So with the way Mr DC is used to express,be happy, enjoy, be safe and don’t let anyone make you afraid -or bitter or childish or stupid! Why wouldn’t you be happy today with all that music
and history if possible of those bands? What it comes to “the best band-combinations”, maybe those musicians would not agree with you? So let’s take it easy. And it was Mr Blackmore, who wanted to try form with Paicey a rock-trio already during the separation of Gillan and Glover! Nothing about Mr Hughes!?
Anyway! One can choose how to feel with our purple-family musicians still among us.
Peace and good listening and feelings to everyone!
