Regarding cancelled shows in Mexico
The band has issued the following statement:
In regards to the cancelled shows in Merida and Cancun, we were as surprised as everybody else. We were looking forward to play there and, as of yet, have not received a reason as to why the promoter cancelled the shows.
Our apologies to our fans. We understand you are disappointed. So are we.
Deep Purple & Thames Talent Ltd
This is as official as one can get.
Rock Nation Latinoamerica is a shitty promoter, that’s all.

November 23rd, 2018 at 12:27Normally when the S***T hits the fan some people run away and some people stand up. Surely someone has to sand up and say the main reason for all these cancellations. I really hope it’s not a medical issue with a certain member. After all Big Ian is always saying that the band is getting on a bit.
November 23rd, 2018 at 16:40No need to apologize guys, I’m writing this from Chihuahua and as and individual who was born and lived here until the age of 19, I know how some promoters handle themselves around here, I think it was better this was for the simple reason Deep Purple and your team deserves nothing but the best, best hotels ,best catering etc….and the places were the shows were cancelled can offer that for shure, is just a matter of working with the right people. Mexico loves you and will always welcome you with open arms. ( By the way…. I was at the Deep Purple show in Mountain View Ca, me and 18,000 other people, excellent show)

December 4th, 2018 at 17:57Perhaps people expected Rod Evans, so promoters cancelled… 🙂
