May 26th, 2018 at 12:43Sounds good to me!.
May 27th, 2018 at 08:08Why no CD? : – (
The new found love for vinyl escapes me, as regards bass frequencies (and isn’t that what Nick is about?), vinyl doesn’t stand a chance against CD.
I didn’t even hear Little Ian’s bass drum in Mk 1 oeuvre until I heard the first (not very well remastered, but still …) CDs of Mk 1, all of the sudden there was a bass drum on Lalena! ; – )
May 28th, 2018 at 18:34Great album from great musicians……..A must buy for folks that love early Purple.
May 30th, 2018 at 13:30D’ablo @1- Yes indeed, Nick Simper being excluded is a abomination, all that the ‘Hall’ represents in many ways! Why someone didn’t step in & ensure that Simper was rightfully included is beyond me. It happened this year with The Moody Blues, Denny Laine was included a few days later, after the core members that were being inducted was announced. Somebody obviously demanded that Laine be included & he was only a member for one album & a ‘hit’ single at the very beginning of The Moody Blues career.
June 6th, 2018 at 22:28As we all know or should know, Simper was an integral original member of DP, who was there at the beginning for 3 albums & Purple’s first US hit single, Hush! Call me a cynic, but I feel Simpers exclusion was deliberate, for some negative reason. Whoever was responsible should be, well I had better not put that into words! Cheers.
I always choose vinyl, because I love the extra expense & inconvenience….
June 7th, 2018 at 03:32Did anyone actually try to order this record?
