Purple special on UK radio
On Thursday, April 13th, there will be a one hour radio special on the new Deep Purple album inFinite with interviews with Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice, and Don Airey, plus several tracks from the album. The show is on the air between 9 and 12 pm with the Deep Purple special in part two. It will broadcast on GTFM in South Wales, BCFM in Bristol, and online at Rock Radio UK.
[Update Apr 15] The show did not contain live interviews, but rather prerecorded comments from the band that were distributed by the record company and you may have heard elsewhere.
Listen to the show (Purple segment starts about 5 minues in)
Thanks to Andy Fox and Nigel Young for the info.
What is happening around the InFinite album right now must be strongest media attack DP has had since Prefect Strangers. Great to see the band getting the attention and media coverage they deserve. The new album IS great (despite the boring and uninspired Doors cover in the end, but it being the last track you can always skip it easily).
April 13th, 2017 at 07:59Yeah, Roadhouse Blues that one takes about 15 seconds or so to really get rolling…so that’s plenty of time to stop the CD. But if you’re too lazy or super slow, you may have to listen to a fun rockin’ jam. 🙂

Couldn´t it be that they have chosen this Roadhouse Blues with absolute care and its place at the end is also quite deliberately? Could it? Listen to the words! We can hear Ian singing: “The future is uncertain and the end is always near. …”. Shall it be perhaps a (hidden) message? The guys are talking quite often about a possible end in these days. I totally agree with you that they deserve the attention they get in these days by media. It is indeed great to see how they get it.
Congratulations Deep Purple, well done! InFinite is indeed an amazing album. I love it very much and have honestly enjoyed every single listening so far. I personally want to thank Deep Purple for all these outstanding music in now almost fifty years. That includes every single current or former member. Ian Gillan mentioned them all during his speech on the Rock´n Roll Hall of Fame induction. The music of Deep Purple has always been a part of my live since I have discovered Machine Head aged seven. It was back in 1973. Once again, thank you guys!

DEEP PURPLE RULES!
To THunder (#3),
I feel exactly the same and couldn’t have said it better myself. Congratulations for all the members of Deep Purple and to Bob Ezrin for a beautiful accomplishment. We can only hope that there is more music to come.
Also, Steve’s hand arthritis is heartbreaking. There’s got to be a world-class surgeon out there who can can cure him. My God, the way he played through the pain for all of us was poignant. My admiration for that man has grown immensely.
