Just like the old days
The record company posted a promo clip for the documentary included with some editions of the upcoming new Deep Purple album inFinite:
The clip includes a few bars from Paradise Bar — a track available exclusively (for now) on the Time for Bedlam EP, which should be released on February 3. The album will follow on April 7.
I’m crossing my fingers and hoping that inFinite is the right follow-up to Now What. It was a long time between Purpendicular and Now What (The two albums I felt best represent post-RB DP…The promise of Purpendicular drizzled and faded until the band worked with Mr. Ezrin and showed us that the band was still THE band.

February 1st, 2017 at 20:21Paradise Bar! I regret hearning it. What a dull riff. Totally lacking any inspiration. Sounds like AOR from the 1980’s. I hope the melody of the song is better than that. Hearning this is a huge disappointment compared to Bedlam. Wrong move for promoting the EP. Ok, I reckon the track is a throw away piece of garbage not good enough for the album itself.
February 2nd, 2017 at 08:53@3: And you make that judgement on how many seconds of the song? Poor band, no wonder they don’t want to publish anything before release date…
February 2nd, 2017 at 09:47@4,Quite right Mr Axbacke, how can you judge a song on 30-something seconds? What little i heard made me want the new album NOW!!
February 2nd, 2017 at 12:00Don’t be so negative,it’s a new Purple album.Hallelujah
February 2nd, 2017 at 12:03Someone in the comments mentioned a video game music so I looked it up:

Now to all the classic music buffs, are both these tunes referencing the same thing or is this just a big coincidence?
February 2nd, 2017 at 14:33@4 Yeah, maybe I was too quick in my judgement. Actually, I am a big fan of the band (since early 1970s), and I do believe the album will be very interesting stuff with good songs in it. Just was a disappointed in those few seconds of what I heard. But, yeah, you are right, too hasty a judgement. I take back the words I wrote. It was not fair. Went too far. (I did’nt like those few seconds, though). Take care!
February 2nd, 2017 at 14:54Heard the tracks in full.
No matter how long one listens to Paradise bar it does not help.
The instrumental reminds of MK 4 somehow, me thinks.
Bedlam , like Sun Goes Down does not reach its potential.
