Hughes’ US tour rescheduled
Glenn Hughes US tour dates for march this year had to be rescheduled for August / early September due to his slow recovery from a recent double knee replacement surgery. Most of the dates have been successfully moved, with a handful that had to be cancelled. We can only presume that original tickets will be honoured for the rescheduled dates and cancelled ones will be refunded. The tour will now start on August 9th in Annapolis, MD, and finish on September 3 in Los Angeles. Further details in our calendar.
Thanks to Yvonne for the info.
Ouch!! I didn’t think they did both knees at the same time with those sort of procedures. Have been looking at those sort of issues myself possibly in the future. hopefully not though. Still, at least I don’t have to rock out on stage with them. Hope he recovers ok with both knees as good as new ones. Cheers.
February 13th, 2016 at 05:12I hope it goes well for Glenn but I am pissed! I have never seen him live and was going to go to the San Jose gig but it has been cancelled! May never see him near me I guess…
February 13th, 2016 at 22:10Best wishes to G.H. That has to be a struggle. I hope he recovers as planned.
I have really enjoyed Hughes as a performer over the years.
What is disappointing is that when I purchased the tickets (for his now postponed tour) I did so under the assumption that it would still be Doug Aldrich on guitar. Now it looks as though when I do see the show 6 months from now it will probably be nothing like what I thought I was going to see.
I was really hoping a live DVD would come of this past years shows with Aldrich because I loved the way they were doing the songs. Hughes fans haven’t really seen a great DVD aside from the BCC footage.
Once again…best wishes for a reasonable/full recovery to Mr Hughes.
February 14th, 2016 at 15:12The lucky bastard!, I wish that I could afford to have my knees fixed up properly too. Oh, if I were a rich man, ta te ta te tum, etc. Get well soonest Glenn!.
February 15th, 2016 at 01:32Have tickets for the Kentucky show in March. Now it is rescheduled for August 24th. Two days before me B-Day. Happy B-Day to ME!!! Get well Glenn… looking forward to it.

I was at that gig and I can assure you the 12 Dollars are well invested money.
While waiting for the US tour, why not enjoy the tour diary clips from 2010 again (in case you haven’t seen them)

February 15th, 2016 at 22:10I wish Glenn a very prompt recovery.
I saw his Singapore show in December, the last concert of his world tour before the Christmas break. He and Doug Aldrich worked marvelously together. Along with drummer Pontus Engborg, wow what a huge sound they could generate! Though only a 3 piece, they really did justice to Burn and Stormbringer. And Glenn still has the pipes too – he was hitting notes at least as high as F5 on Mistreated.
I hope to catch him again on his rescheduled USA tour.
