Live for the moment
In his annual end-of-year message, Roger Glover recaps what happened in 2014 and concludes with holiday greetings:
The best of the season to all and thank you to friends old and new, the steadfast DP crew and management, my band-mates, my webmaster Andreas Thul, and not least of all to the people that came to our shows around the world and gave us such a welcome – you are the reason we exist.

What a great recap of 2014 from one the best written and verbal orators I know of. Quite a year for you Mr. ‘Grover’. Quite a year for me too being that we got to see you guys in Biloxi and spin ‘Now What’ till the grooves burned through. What a great album that I still find myself getting lost in. Loved your “Live for the moment” motto. Reminds me of one of mine….
“Dream as though you will live forever,
Live as though you will die tomorrow”.
Well on that note, thanks Sir Roger for being you and inviting us along the way.
2015, another Purple Album….. PURFECT!

December 28th, 2014 at 02:53Roger,
Thanks for a great album and tour this year. Hopefully there will be another one in 2015. Don’t forget touring in the USA again. Don’t forget us and we won’t forget you. One last quote for 2014
” May you live as long as you want and never want as long as you live ”
Well there is one thing I want, another Purple tour!
December 31st, 2014 at 20:53God Bless.
Dear Roger,
I was fortunate to see you twice in NJ on Aug 24 and 25. It was my favorite DP performance since the 1996 tour. I was the one at the Mayo Center a few rows back from stage center dancing during Black Night where everyone in my row was sitting… but everyone behind me was also swaying to the music. I’m so glad you’re playing old tracks that never were played live with RB, such as Hard Loving Man (even with slightly changed lyrics). Any chance for “Flight of the Rat?”
Also Thank you, and Paicey and Steve for signing the great “Now What!” CD for me.
Can’t wait to hear what you’ll be bringing out for the next Purple album and tour.
Best wishes for the New Year to you, Purple and all your families!
