Singing in the rain
Deep Purple performed at the Hohentwiel Festival in Germany on July 21, and paid a tribute to the German soccer team, which was recently crowned as world champions. The festival was held in the city of Singen, which means singing in German, and under the pouring rain Singing in the Rain jokes were, quite naturally, abound. Steve Morse even dropped fragments of the tune into his guitar solo spot.
Local e-paper SÜDKURIER has a full report (in German) and a photo gallery.

July 18 2014 at the Collisioni Festival in Barolo Piemonte, Italy. According to the bootleg. Purple Didn’t Play Above And Beyond.
July 24th, 2014 at 06:28I was lucky enough to be there. And as a regular DP concert goer I have to say it was a really special event, simply brilliant. The guys were in a really excellent mood. I enjoyed every single second they played and it did absolutely not matter that it rained. I wish there would be a live album that conserves that magic night for the upcoming decades. Congratulations DP!

Hi Scott
If I remember well, they didn´t play “Above And Beyond”. They started with “Apres Vous”. Later that evening they played also “Vincent Price”, “Hell To Pay” and “Uncommon Man”. (not in the order of appearance)

Beside the titles from “Now What?!” (@5) DP played that night in Singen Into The Fire, Strange Kind of Woman, Lazy, Space Truckin´, The Mule (incl. drum solo), Contact Lost, Well Dressed Guitar, Perfect Strangers, Smoke On The Water. The encores were Hush and Black Night. I hope I didn´t forget a song. Time flies. The concert in Singen is a week ago. Meanwhile I´ve heard several DP albums several times.
mrptheDPfan enjoy the concert in August!

So does anyone know why Above and Beyond is not in the set. Purple are coming to Canada to Casino Rama and that’s one of the songs I really wanted to hear. The tribute one of two to Jon.
July 30th, 2014 at 00:11I was there!
I can’t believe, I was as a Mexican fan, among the nice German fans!
A lot of rain, a lot of kilometers to travel to Singen…
And a lot, a lot of fun in the show, great experience, an open show in a castle!
And yes, it was a big surprise to me to see Gillan with the German shirt, I followed the team in the World Cup, a great tribute!
And @THunder, they also played Hard Lovin’ Man
