Glenn Hughes’ new band, California Breed, has announced 5 dates in the UK in late November / early December. It appears that they will be opening for Slash, and thus playing bigger venues. Tickets are already on sale. Full details in our calendar.

Just having to mention the size of venues being bigger says it all. They shouldn’t be taking the tiny rooms if they’re so good and so “it” in the first place. 😀
Smart move jumping on the ‘Slash Bandwagon’. Especially when Slash was rumored to have been the guitarist for this band back in it’s developing period. Slash is a big draw these days. CB will get some good exposure from these shows. I see nothing but positive results coming from this venture. Hope they make it here eventually before GH implodes again.
He has been the most productive, in quality terms as well, of all the Purps in the last 2 decades.
That he did not get the wide recognition he deserved, says nothing about his qualities.
But I must say it puzzles me why he fooled himself into thinking Bonamassa would eventually change his mind after he clearly showed BCC would always be a sideproject.
Many people make that mistake.
Believing so strongly and loving so much what you re doing, that it gets hard to face reality.
The reality that the other loves you less than you do him/her.
Hoping a lover will change his/her mind through endless investing from your side is a dangerous thing.
And then, indeed, it is time for picking up the pieces again.
I feel bad he never made it to such a scale as he deserves.
Here we go again no US tour from another Glenn Hughes fronted band.Whats up with that? We all know he can’t draw flies in the States. So he has to milk the UK and Europe to get anyone to see him play.Lets all pick a date when this band implodes.I say by this time next year there won’t be a California Breed.
Another thing he names a band with the state of California in it.But will not tour here.
I am done with Glenn Hughes.
Slash is undeniably popular and particularly so if Myles Kennedy is on board again.
GH needs to keep it together so California Breeds life span can hopefully go beyond the 1 album mark. Sooner or later his credibility will be on the line – probably sooner
GH has been quite productive over the years. As also, JLT. Very productive. All over the place. My hats off to him. I thoroughly enjoy both their works. I am pulling for CB to be a successful venture for the poor sap. He truly does deserve to finally achieve the success with a band he puts forth. Funny though how you are so sympathetic with his lack luster success and have none of that attitude towards Purple being overlooked. Sorry bro but Purple being skipped is a much bigger insult than GH being un-noticed. You have always poked fun at Purple not being up in the charts without Blackmore, yet you give GH a pass and show empathy for his obscurity in the realm of recognition. Yes GH has been a whirlwind over the years. One would think that with all of his offerings, he would have been recognized by now. So much stuff. Looks like he should have never left Purple. They finally got their due with Now What. Maybe he should name his next album…. Who Dat?

Ok be done with him, however he is touring the States starting in September.
Chrissy answer her/his own question. If he can’t draw flies, of course no one will book him. Artists just don’t go around play where they want, you know. Someone has to book them. And even if they booked their own shows, he’s not likely to play where no one wants to see him, right? How can it be Hughes’ fault that people don’t want to see him? And with Chrissy giving up on him, there is apparently one less person to play for…
Of all the DP members past and present who are still in the business, Glenn is the ONLY one I have not seen live. I live in California and he has never came further north than LA. I’m not driving 600 miles to see him so i probably never will as he is stuck in LA!
Was lucky enough to see BCC in St. Louis before they called it quits. Great gig. would love to see CB here before its over too….. Hmmmm, what are the chances?
I would rather Glenn get on the plane and come my direction as he has more Money than me. I have seen everyone else come thru Northern CA. Why is he stuck where he lives…? (Not that i am on any Pro level but) I play music live and if i want people to see me, i have to go where the ‘Fans’ are as they are not knocking on my door! I am not even 70% sure that what i feel about this new project justifies travelling . The production on the new Cal Breed album is the worst of any I’ve personally heard in 30 years. BTW, I do like Glenn and I have not even taken a plane trip to see Ritchie and I’ve seen him many times in the last 4 decades without having to fly!
Be nice to see some headlining dates, instead of supporting this clown

Anyway, I cherish loads of his productions.
Cheers, Glenn.
