Keyed Up on tour
During the March break in Deep Purple touring Don Airey will embark on a short European tour to promote his new album Keyed Up. It starts on March 13 in Switzerland and finishes on the 23rd in Belgium. See our calendar for further details.
Thanks to Six Concerts and Yvonne Osthausen for the info.
Nice to see the U.K is ignored again.
December 18th, 2013 at 17:27@Stephen Dunne: Again? He’s played UK shows on previous tours and no one showed up. Why should he play there when not enough people want to come out and see him.
Same goes for DP, there’s far more interest in them in other countries so why not cater to that greater hunger and better fan base.

Who will have the honor of playing Gary Moore’s parts????
December 20th, 2013 at 21:57They may not play the Moore tracks, it depends on how much material or what songs from the new album they promote in the ‘live’ setting.
December 22nd, 2013 at 08:19He has plenty of previous material to pull from also, but yes it would be interesting if they do the Moore tracks, how well the guitarist he has in his band, plays them! If the guitarist does his homework on the Moore material, he should nail it & being in Airey’s band, he would have to be a very accomplished guitarist. In all the years I have followed rock music, Don Airey has always worked with the best in the business, not surprising though as he is one of the best in the business himself! Cheers.
Relating Airey’s touring dates to Purple hopefully touring the US, if they are in Japan in early April & then possibly here in OZ after that & then they are in France in late June, will you guys see them in late April through to early June in the US? I couldn’t see them heading back to the States after the European summer festival gigs! Then again anything can happen. Cheers.
December 22nd, 2013 at 08:28@Black Sheep: Don hasn’t played UK on his “all out” tour and in 2009 on his “a light in the sky” tour he started in london. In the meantime he gave a few shows in germany and netherlands. When it comes to the audience, in italy there was on both shows in 2012 the audience less than 50. This reason wouldn’t be a valid one to me
@Tracy: I guess it will be Rob Harris as he has played with Don the two previous tours.
