At a noisy café…
Back in October Roger Glover gave this interview to Vigier Guitars. It was probably recorded around Deep Purple’s date in Paris on October 20. He talks about Bob Ezrin, the guitars that just stay in tune, Love is All, and Ronnie James Dio:
Thanks to Something Else! Reviews and Andrey Gusenkov for the info.
If you click on the arrow type symbol next to rogers thumb then nothing happens except you get an error message. If you click on the ‘At the noise cafe’ then you will get to hear the interview.

December 17th, 2013 at 18:48This guy is such a pleasure to listen to and has such a way with being so cordial and welcoming when he is interviewed. Also very consistent over the years when reflecting back over prior experiences. No drama, just frank sincerity and real openness. All 5 members of Purple are quite humble and very welcoming when approached, but Roger truly takes it to the next level. My experiences at the various Meet and Greets I have attended have Roger to be the most hospitable and outgoing towards the attendees. He is always the first to arrive in the ‘Green Room’ and the last to leave. One thing I noted about this interview was a true reminder here that he actually had first dibs on DIO before TMIB left Purple and recruited him for Rainbow.

December 29th, 2013 at 15:38Yes I think the phrase ‘can we have everything louder than everything else’ applies to this interview in the cafe! Not as noisy as that interview with Morse a few months back, I think also in a cafe/restaurant. It makes it a ‘noisy’ listen to, especially for an interview! Cheers.
January 2nd, 2014 at 05:13Well worth the headache of noise to weed through. Great Glover candor as usual…
