Still a GREAT song, and this is a great way to give it new life again.

November 27th, 2013 at 15:12How great is this? For this song to be used after all these years must be quite an uplifting moment for Roger. Another example of the impact Deep Purple and the separate entities in the band have instilled upon the world over the years. It’s a gift that keeps on giving. This is quite inspiring too. What a great performance from these kids. It will be added to my listening library. I wonder if they were exposed to the original concept of the song and the live performance video from back then. This makes me want to pull mine out from the archives and take a watch. Especially the part where Gillan comes in….. Yeeeeeoooowwwww!!!!
November 27th, 2013 at 16:30To give credit to Eddie, it is a Glover-Hardin composition.

November 28th, 2013 at 12:04Met Roger few years ago told him He wrote a wonderful piece of music on that Butterfly Ball project. Check out His Daughters music. Gillian Glover
November 29th, 2013 at 13:41Great job, Roger!
November 29th, 2013 at 18:43The Butterfly Ball is definitely Glover’s best work outside of Purple by the proverbial country mile! Especially the 3 Dio vocal tracks on the album, they are superb songs & yes the final 2 songs are co-written with Eddie Hardin. Those 3 tracks really make the album in many ways! Sitting In A Dream, Love Is All & the incredibly mournful Homeward. Cheers.
November 29th, 2013 at 21:30Another outstanding song is the Glover/Hardin composition ‘Little Chalk Blue’ sung by the superb John Lawton, what a vocalist he is! That Glover boy sure can write good songs when he collaborates with other quality musicians! Cheers.

December 1st, 2013 at 01:32The greatest work that Roger has ever done is his work producing Down to Earth what a recording. And not a bad bass player either.
