It’s good to be king!
Watch Ian Gillan and Roger Glover being treated like royalty on a Georgian TV show. Their segment starts at around 21 minutes into the episode and runs for a good half an hour:

Hah, I was intended to be there with Ian & Rog, but due to some unforeseen circumstances another translator replaced me 🙂
Btw, Ian & Bron will be featured as a couple in another one of the most popular (if not the most) TV show called Profile. (The local show that I hate most, because of its disgustingly boulevard-ish format).
June 17th, 2013 at 22:11Anyways, sounds interesting to watch some memories from their first meeting, first kiss, their family, their wedding in Georgia in 1990 etc.
Gillan walks down the street dressed with that shirt?
June 18th, 2013 at 02:40and with that clown vest?
Ian and Roger..two gentlemen and legendary musicians!!!
June 18th, 2013 at 18:50Gillan often looks uncomfortable waiting for translations but handles responses quite well. He seems embarrassed and doesn’t know what to do in the meantime! Oh no…another “Smoke on the Water” question… Most people in the audience, on the other hand, sounded like they understood English since they applauded and laughed even before the official translation.
The host was clearly taken by being in the presence of such legendary musicians. Both Glover and Gillan–but especially Gillan–are bemused by all the attention and still look like they wonder why anyone would want their autograph–even after all these years!
I played “Smoke” with Gillan in 2006 during a solo tour and when I asked him to sign my Stratocaster, he looked confused–as if I were joking–and said, “Are you sure?” then looked uncomfortable doing it! Very humble.
I only wish Purple would receive the same attention here in the United States.
June 19th, 2013 at 15:00@First Kiss? Huh? They really filmed that in the early 80s?!

The show: Bron and Ian look back on their Georgian wedding with Maia Asatiani. They are on during the opening fifteen minutes. The interviews were filmed on 4th June. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0SurT7PC_E
@8…
After watching the Georgian Wedding, it just occurred to me that Ian married Annie Lenox…..
Ch-BeerZ?!
June 26th, 2013 at 15:13Pretty cool TV spot here and quite a loose and informal interview. Loved the tune Ian sang at the end. Roger should have played that weird Bass though. The only negative point to it was no mention of the New Album….
