Would like to hear a country album only if it was like done the way they did “anyone’s daughter” and ritchie did all the chicken riffs.

Nice interview, Gillan was indeed on his game and the radio personalities were not “all about Machine Head or SOTW” they (or at least Jim knew their facts about DP), IG even had nice things to say about Ritchie and the RnR HOF. I can’t wait for the new LP I think it could be outstanding.

Especially nice when the interviewer appreciates and is knowledgable about all things Deep Purple.

Thought i’d vote in the RARHOF and as voting stands Purple will get in easy, second to Rush …Five bands get to be accepted.

I wasn’t going to vote but then it would be nice for them to be acknowledged, just as a historic event.

Quite interesting that Gillan is still making big smile to Ritchie Blackmore after 19 years of Blackmore’s quit from the Band .

Seems Purple will show up at the induction ceremony. I checked the HOF site and it looks like Purple, if /when iducted will include……Blackmore, Gillan, Glover, Lord, Paice, Evans, Simpter, Coverdale and Hughes. That is my take on their notes about nominating Purple. I hope Morse is inducted as well. If Purple make it, I think they will show up along with, Coverdale, Hughes, and maybe guys like Malsteem, Metalica, Satriani, Vai.

Very nice interview! Indeed, it is much nicer when the interviewer is knowledgable about his subject matter. Great job!

” and maybe guys like Malsteem, Metalica, Satriani, Vai.”

    WHY?

Tracy (Zero the Hero) Heyder says:

    Priest @13,

Don’t be such a narrow mind. I can only imagine that ‘Ron’ is expecting those folks he mentioned to show up and give their appreciation to Purple. They have all expressed it in the past and it would be fitting that they attend and even perform their appreciation on stage. Man, can you imagine a conglomerate band of that magnitude doing “Space Truckin’?” Apparently you don’t get the format of the ‘induction’. Do they air it in your ‘cave’ of a country?

I suppose you will be happy then to see JLT with them in the Hall?
