    Why not Bach?

Because Chopin’s music allowed piano to breath like a human voice.

Tracy Heyder (Zero the Hero) says:

Priest, is there nothing you won’t complain about? Of course you are jumping on the BUTTOCK (the actual proper name for ASS, go figure) band wagon. It is amazing how the complainers seem to hang together. Here is a DVD that happens to be offered whereby the Lead Singer for the Band that this ‘Fan Site’ revolves around stars as the narrator, and again the only response from these chronic BitchBoys is: “Why not something else”?

Since you both are on the “Why Not Something Else” buddy system…..”WHY NOT go find a band and their fan site you like Presently”. Obviously Present Purple, or anything they do isn’t your cup of tea. Why torture yourselves and concern yourselves here when surely there is a site you can find where you actually Like the band. Your imbedded frustration here isn’t healthy for you. It only perpetuates negativeness and you are filled with it. You both need a heavy dose of the “Blackmore’s Night’s Website”. The lutes, flutes, pointy hats, and men in tights might just be the medicine you need to cure your demeanor.

    Cheers

    Larry R. Toering says:

Hey Priest, ha ha ha ha… you haven’t a clue how concert promoting works! You don’t affiliate with them, you sign what they put in front of you… or in this case not… it was the promoters, not them, and the fine was ultimately paid by them either way. The band have no idea what the territorial ordnaces are and no responsibility in them whatsoever, it’s all on the promoter, period. They didn’t comply with their own nations policy, they’re supposed to and the artists follow. There was no conspiracy. What you think you’re talking about is a mystery.

  11. 11
    Larry R. Toering says:

That would be ‘ordinances’ -the promoters mistake or deliberate scam not to comply. I would let that one rest now, Priest, before you slip on it again.

@ 3 Inpersonator alert people !!!!!!!!. not the real Buttocks, just a case of stolon identity. For real i would never diss Purple in any lineup change, they are masters equal to none.

Tracy Heyder (Zero the Hero) says:

    Hey Moderators,

This should be easy to address. Name and e-mail are required to participate here. Since that is the case, what’s the point? Plus #13 is spelling his name with 2 s’s. So now there are 3?? It doesn’t matter to me. Comments are comments and I will respond to any of them. But to the person who is being misrepresented, it’s BS. I guess that’s the downside to not using one’s real name. Total alias is easier to hack….

    @ 8

I know the piano wasn’t the biggest thing in Bach’s period, but…..
do you imply that Bach’s music is suffocating?

Btw, Botch Chopin and Bach are among favourites.

    1.

I never spoke badly about Ian’s narratingjob for this DVD.
Actually, I said it did not surprise me at all because I always did find his voice very suitable for that.
I referred to his parts on DARWIN as well.

In the last post I was just having a bit of “fun”, reacting to Bettoveen, hahaha. Maybe he intended to say Helloween : )

    2.

I don’t intend to torture myself (Although it went that direction when going for the max while sporting so hard a few years ago)but I DO still have that terrible back ache!!!
Today I finally got an injection for it in my spine.
    Hopefully it’ll work out.

The imposter, which is in fact referred to as a ‘TROLL’ -seems to be getting off at THS’s expense and we would appreciate it if they put a stop to it. It’s obviously Priest, aka mock nicks of so many others here. It’s time to set the troll back on his little shelf with the rest of the shrunken heads. I find it rather hard to believe a grown man who seems under the surface to be otherwise a decent man, would resort to this just because people don’t agree with his distorted opinion, and simply don’t want to include Blackmore somehow in every topic he doesn’t belong in because he has nothing to do with. Get_a_life!

I’m with Tracy (#9 )on this one, this site is for people who enjoy Deep Purple. we are blessed with a band who have given great musical pleasure to me for 40 years, if IG or any other member elects to front a documentary or event we should embrace it, you dont have to like it but at least appreciate their efforts in what ever field the have entered. I also agree with her on #14.

    Also well said Marcinn #7.

@ 7-9-16: Finally! You’re made my day, Larry, Marcinn & Tracy!
I thought no one could think so on THS… sadly.
I do so agree with almost everything you said!
@ 16: “…and simply don’t want to include Blackmore somehow in every topic he doesn’t belong in because he has nothing to do with. Get_a_life!” LMAO! Well said!

Of course I gotta buy the Chopin DVD! I admire a lot band members who are not only doing their own stuff, who go out of their areas and do some extra things!

Go on, big Ian! I’m a fan (maybe sometimes a bit frustrated, but that doesn’t matter, because…), we are so lucky still to hear you in 2011! And of course I will attend DP shows in 2012, also Classic meets Rock… again! Maybe it’s more of the same, but others are allready dead or have retired!

    dave_wallis says:

It’s nice Ian is involved in various projects, but I don’t really get this one. Especially since he has never shown too much interest in classical music. Lord, Airey, Blackmore seem a more natural choice, but why Gillan? It’s like Paice doing a show about Paganini. Ian should rather narrate film about some famous classical singer, but Chopin? It’s not really his cup of tea. But, if you don’t like it, don’t buy it. I won’t, but it doesn’t mean I don’t have respect for the man.

  22. 22
Tracy Heyder (Zero the Hero) says:

    Thanks @17,

    But I’M NOT A HER!!!!

Click on my Name and check out the drummer/singer. That’s ME, and it ain’t no SHE….

    Cheers

  23. 23
    marcinn says:

@ 21 To each their own, but Ian was invited to do the narration and present the documentary because of several aspects of his personality. One of them being his presence on camera… the camera naturally likes him. Another thing is that Ian on camera is calm, natural and inspiring. As the narrator he came across very credible, which is difficult to achieve when presenting a contemporary documentary film. We have a new quality in the documentary discourse thanks to Ian. A person seemingly unrelated to classical music narrated a film about one of the greatest classical composers. Of course Lord, Blackmore or Airey would be the obvious choices. But there wouldn’t be a surprise, would it?

Just ask Ian about ‘Chopin on 5 Continents’… and you’ll know if he’s interested in classical music.

And rock and classical are not poles apart as one may think. Also, Chopin’s music was greatly inspired by human voice, especially opera singing voice which many people do not realise. That makes it more obvious, doesn’t it? But let’s not try deciphering magic…

    Jaroslaw says:

    @21
You are right.Jon Lord would be much appropriate then Ian G.

  25. 25
    Larry R. Toering says:

    @18

I’m not going to get into asking you anything, you have proven way too dishonest to believe, in several concrete ways. So, I don’t recall you whining about ‘Purple Chair’ impersonating you, so that is enough to believe that was YOU. Anymore of them could be as well, just because of it. You understand you’re not making any headway there at all, and the burden of proving these others aren’t you, is on you. But then it’s not like I care, it’s just too easy to expose a troll. Once you create a mock nick, you’re in jeopardy of being accused of the next few or so that follow. Either that or you have a sociopath or two on your hands, which is highly unlikely for a sociopath himself. Act as coy as usual, it only goes to show… but, it is getting rather annoying to co-exist with anyone doing this at THS, so I do hang this more on their head than yours at this point. It’s just pathetic to even have to address, but someone has to at least act like they know their way around a freaking computer.

  26. 26
    Larry R. Toering says:

It’s looking clear that people have to let go of some things in order to even consider respect for anything Ian Gillan does. Just read Colin’s book for the truth on who was ‘acting’ so unprofessionally at the point people can’t seem to crawl out of since then. There were reasons, sure, but let me just put it this way for those who can’t fathom reality. Either Colin is a liar, or someone else is… hhhmm, I’m pretty sure he set a few things straight that would steam a lot of fans who don’t seem to think they need proof because they believe anything Blackmore says.

If you work with an amount of people Blackmore has, and few to none disagree about his character and ability to make efforts to work with others instead of firing them or having them fired, it’s pretty safe to say they’re the right ones, and him wrong when it comes to stability such as this. No talent can account for being so difficult it amounts to that, and no one man can beat such odds against him. Unless of course over 30 people who were there are wrong, and one is right. Such people seeing Ian Gillan for what he truly is, would take removing that paint from their helmets.

    purplepriest1965 says:

I already though there was too big a fuzz about this “impersonatorthing”.

Thanx to Tibor for reacting to this soap.

And me fooling around with a few nicks(Hell, I even mentioned doing it)does not constitute the idea I m eager to go overboard impersonating anyone.

    Why should I?
I m appearantly causing enough “trouble”on my very own!

    Cheers and have a relaxmoment.

  28. 28
    Larry R. Toering says:

I believe you, Priest, either that or it’s a convincing effort to explain anyway. Sounds honest enough. It could be anybody going to the length of mocks, as sick as it can be. Thanks for that.
