Whitesnake Live at Donington 1990
Whitesnake’s Live at Donington 1990 DVD/live double CD set will now be available on June 3 in Europe and June 7 in North America via Frontiers Records.
On August 18, 1990, Whitesnake headlined the legendary Monsters Of Rock at Castle Donington festival (now known as Download). Whitesnake’s performance at the festival was one of the most memorable events on the “Liquor & Poker World Tour” that saw the band play sold-out shows to over one million people. The footage captures Whitesnake performing in front of more than 70,000 people. Whitesnake in 1990 featured guitarists Steve Vai and Adrian Vandenberg, bassist Rudy Sarzo, drummer Tommy Aldridge and, of course, David Coverdale.
The Live At Donington 1990 DVD also includes a gallery of never before seen stills of the band on the Liquor & Poker World Tour 1990, plus behind-the-scenes documentary of the making-of the Slip Of The Tongue album.
The Live At Donington 1990 will be available in 2CD set, DVD coverpack, combo 2CD + DVD in digipak and digital edition.

Fantastic!!!!!!
Something that would nice to see from Purple too. Vintage Concert DVDs. Looks like Hughes and Coverdale are ramping it up in the possible wake of a Purple demise……
Cheers
March 31st, 2011 at 22:10Putting out a live album at about the same time as a studio CD takes a certain amount of gumption and confidence.
April 1st, 2011 at 01:25I know the recordings from bootlegs – as many here I`m sure – and they are quite entertaining mainly for DC`s swearing and the crowds reaction to the show. His voice had already become a bit screechy by then and the band was a bunch of well paid soldiers that lend their talents to the man. Come Ain`t no love-time…well in case you had not noticed until then you have to realise that the last ounce of feeling had gone. I have seen the same show in Mannheim just within the same week back then and it was just one impressive circus act in my book.
April 1st, 2011 at 07:17I saw them in Utrecht, around the same time.
Monsters Of Rock Festival @ De GalgenwaardStadium, that is.
Unfortunately AEROSMITH impressed me much more that day.
Saw bits and pieces on tv from the Donnington show and then, IMHO, it sounded pretty awful.
Why was 1983 released in a heartbeat on VHS and did this show has to take so long?
Very glad then because he was in great form.
Rights?
April 1st, 2011 at 09:31Or did Old Cov spend all time polishing the results?
Jesus, awful cover!
April 1st, 2011 at 11:10Fantastic album…excellent vocal performance by Coverdale…but this cover, as the ‘forevermore’ one really sucks…
April 1st, 2011 at 13:10Fine, but I want the real Whitesnake Donnington show. With Lord, Powel etc from the days when Coverdale could sing. But that is LONG time ago. I’m sad to say 🙁
April 1st, 2011 at 14:28yes the first donigton with Lord and Cozy is impressive…for the “second” whitesnake version I would have preferred the 1988 japan dates (bootlegs with great sound quality exist) with Coverdale even in a better shape than this one…

Isnt that out on DVD by now?
I have the original VHS but soundwise it could be much better, espescially now.
