I liked GTBB, sounds like I will like this one too!
January 19th, 2011 at 18:51And by this album Whitesnake will have 22 songs that contain the word “love” in their titles. Is this serious? Lyrically they’re one of the less creative band in the world…
LOVE
Where’s love?
Is this Love?
here’s Love
Here is no love
love in here
love in there
i love you
i don;t love you
you love me
you don’t love me
i love you but you don;t love me
love day
love night
fool for love
hapy for love
love is good
love is bad…
amm. BORING!!!
January 19th, 2011 at 22:33…always the same cover, the same lirycs, the same, riff, the same song structures, the same melodies…they never progress while deep purple did and do it…
January 20th, 2011 at 01:05Thank you! I’ve listened. I like it!
January 20th, 2011 at 09:29cool NEW whitesnake song Love Will Set You Free 🙂
January 20th, 2011 at 09:31Hmmmm. From the sound clip it sounds like it will be as interesting as GTBB – which I still haven’t bought yet. I’m waiting for the special limited tour/digi pak version with all the out takes and studio footage and the chocolate flavoured CD. Yum yum.
January 20th, 2011 at 15:51Sounds good, can’t wait. You can go to the Website and get a sample of the new single/video Love Will Set you Free. It reminds me a little of Good to be Bad, very muscular with a lot of guitar work on it.
January 20th, 2011 at 17:59Really looking forward to this release, and the gig at the Sweden Rock Festival this summer ! Hopefully DC´s voice is back in shape like in the good old days, the last time I went to a WS gig he sounded like a broken accordion !!!! ROCK ON !!!
January 20th, 2011 at 18:41@2 You’re wrong.. Ac/Dc is boring.. What, would you seriously rather have war this and that instead? 😉
January 20th, 2011 at 20:01Except for songs here an’ there, I never was much of a “metal” Whitesnake fan, instead preferring the early years. Unfortunately, Whitesnake continues to cater to the ‘hair metal’ sound and identity since it is that incarnation that produced the most record sales.
For Whitesnake, it is a bit of an identity crisis. One cannot blame Coverdale for opting more toward the 1987 sound and continue to carry that theme over in both sound and artwork even if long-time Deep Purple fans are more likely to prefer the Trouble-to-Slide It In era.
As for the clip, it sounds pretty good. I give Coverdale kudos for remaining active by touring, putting out new material and having a eye to the past as well.
January 21st, 2011 at 14:09I agree, T. Never liked the hair metal period of the band and like it even less now. These extreme metal-like distorted guitars of Aldrich has nothing or little to do with what Whitesnake actually stands or always stood for. But well, as long as his fans fall for it. The vast majority of Whitesnake fans are anyway elder women between 40-50 …
January 22nd, 2011 at 18:47Everyone knows.
I know most Deep Purple fans like David’s old sound, but really who’se going to buy that sound today? it might sell in the UK, but worldwise, listen to modern music of today, if you don’t rock, you don’t get played. Whitesnake currently is playing to their strengths, and that is their 2 guitarists and David! Doug and Reb are 2 of the best updated guitarists in the world today. Look, it could be worse, what if Steve Vai was back??? also these boys can actually sing. another thing, I never really understood the Hair Metal nameplate they got stuck with. What do you want Mohawks? Every rocker out there has Hair, (well almost)just because David has hair, you all still butcher him over it! lighten up, and Rock! nuff said
January 29th, 2011 at 16:05I think the last album was a good cross between classic and modern. I prefer the classic but like and appreciate the modern, especially lately, for some reason the so called hair days hold up very well for me, better than at the time, back then I wasn’t into it as much as I had been. Favorite albums have to be Ready ‘An Willing, and Slide It In, as they slid into that period but still had their original bite.
January 30th, 2011 at 02:21hi everyone
