    There should seriously be an award category for this Format of footage;

    Docu-updates!

    It’s like being shown a brand new car going through it’s paces, knowing you can afford it – Only better!

    It’s a bit like Spike Milligan’s Logic;

    I don’t look anything like you & you don’t look anything like me, therefore we are identically different!

    I’m more ‘Keyed up’ about seeing Glenn than the last DP Gig – probably because this time I don’t know what to expect, well apart from what’s revealed in the above video, of course!

    Sweaty dreams

    Well, Just in from Exeter Gig – What a day, what a night!!!

    Two reasons for being there;

    No1

    Respect for Glenn’s contribution to music & appreciation for his membership of the ‘Getting Off One’s Arse & doing it Loud’ Club! (GOOADL roles off the tongue – NOT!)

    No2

    To get Soren & Scott’s feedback (Parden the pun) on the ‘Electric Lady’ Guitar.

    Objective 2 was positive & the guys have hung on to the guitars for a few days to try them some more (Maybe in the shows). Great stuff!

    Objective 1 – Soooooooooooooooo glad to have seen Glenn who is recovering from a throat infection – He sounded on the top of his game.

    Sail Away & Burn were the two featured DP tracks in tonight’s show, Soren was very faithful to the RB method of varying the riff on Burn & even attempted an imitation of the Dark Lord in using his Toe caps as a Glass slide up & down the guitar neck!

    Soren said that Glenn is brilliant to work for & that he has a very intelligent approach to arranging his songs – Have to agree with this one – phenomenal use of Dynamics & Tension building.

    Have a listen to the last few bars of ‘Lady Double Dealer’ on ‘Made in Europe’ & you’ll hear how Glenn rides up the fret building tension before the last note is played – Most Bass guitarists would hang on the Root note whilst downing a pint of ‘Scrumpy’, Glenn is apart from most!! – Having said that, he was most approachable after soundcheck even signing a CD cover for my Brother.

    Suffice it too say, that I have to see Soren at Bristol on the 12th, so will attempt to note the set list in full.

    Night all.

    Glad to see Glenn doing so well and sounding so great. Is his band all-Swedish/Norwegian during this tour?

    Svante Axbacke says:

    Swedish-Danish.

    Glenn and his throat infection….
    Was it already there at the BCC gig in London?

    Ted The Mechanic says:

    Huge Glenn and Joe fan respectively, but first BCC listen and it’s really going to have to grow on me. It’s been that way on countless other first listen recordings and hopefully I’ll be typing a different tune at some point…..

    Peace,

    Ted
