New official online store launched
February 1st has seen the launch of one of the most comprehensive Deep Purple online stores to date. In a partnership that sees for the first time all associate labels working together to promote the band, this new (and official) online store based in the UK is of interest not only for their extremely wide range of physical items such as CDs, DVDs, and other merchandise, but because they promise to have an emphasis on digital product releases including rare archival material such as interviews, live tracks and a range of new video tracks featuring never-before-seen content. As an example of this, we were made aware of 4 new video clips have been produced using this unreleased footage: Might Just Take Your Life, Woman from Tokyo, Child In Time, and Stormbringer. These are expected to be available shortly, but there is already a very extensive catalogue of digital audio tracks to peruse online.
We’ve also been informed that the store will focus on material right across the bands incredible history, and in the coming months there will also be a range of “mini stores” launched for all band members and their solo careers. It seems to be a major undertaking, and we have been assured that THS will be kept abreast of launch and major product release details as they come to hand.

Well they’re certainly promising a lot and I look forward to seeing them deliver…
February 3rd, 2010 at 18:36I’m looking forward to a centralised place where we can order anything DP-related. A good move !
February 3rd, 2010 at 22:27An impressive looking site, but rather expensive – £0.99 for a track: that’s dearer than even iTunes or Amazon!
February 6th, 2010 at 10:49is this really official? why no mention of it on the DP official sites?
February 9th, 2010 at 09:24I like the classic album cover T-shirts; I will be ordering Fireball, Burn, and Stormbringer!
February 10th, 2010 at 08:35Here’s a thought ‘TH’, don’t click on the ‘digital’ tab then. Who’d a thunk it wouuld be so easy!
February 10th, 2010 at 17:12hope they make fireball logo’d T’s with matching briefs…i’ll take two.
February 15th, 2010 at 19:12Maybe there s only one reason to lure me back for a MK 8 gig…..
I missed out on, due to some strange communication breakdown glitch I suppose, the Burn Anniversary T shirts released by the beloved DPAS….
Why cant veryone buy this?
UK snobs!!!!
February 16th, 2010 at 00:54I heard BURN ANNIVERSARY t shirts which had a LIMITED aspect at the time when the DPAS organised them are ON SALE on the Net.
I missed out on them way back and still would like to buy them.
But from what source are the t shirts mentioned above?!
I missed out and some clever salesman bought a shitload at the time and now tries to sell them?
Or are they not ORIGINALS?
March 1st, 2010 at 15:12I’m not sure where you think the anniversary shirts can be purchased, but the shirts currently being sold by the DPAS and the store referenced in this article are the same, using artwork made from the album covers. The DPAS also two other shirts: a Stormbringer shirt with an alternate logo, and a replica Burn tour shirt — perhaps you are thinking of those?
March 3rd, 2010 at 17:34Hi Wolf
I dont know what kinda t shirts are being sold by DPAS RIGHT NOW but a few years ago around the release of the BURN ANNIVERSARY cd and LP I missed out on the ones that were sold by them.
I tried to secure a few of them in advance but somehow it did not work out for me…..
Frustrating….
Cheers, Mark
