Glenn Hughes NOT to support Whitesnake
Regarding the possibility of Glenn Hughes supporting Whitesnake in Norway in May, Glenn’s webmaster says:
No, that isn’t happening. The media have got it wrong again, Glenn will NOT be on the bill for this particular festival. There will be some appearances with Come Taste The Band in 2009, as there were earlier this year, but not at this festival.
Thanks to John H for the info.
So, Glen is neglected both by DP and WS???
December 25th, 2008 at 23:03I bet you DC would of loved for Glenn and his boys to support WS on that leg of the tour, they still talk to each other, theres no problem between those two! It would of been a hell of a show! If Whitesnake gets a US tour in 09, that would be great to see them together! Also Merry Christmas to you all on here! BP
December 25th, 2008 at 23:34Neglected?!
And yes DC and GH are still brothers and they will be forever I hope so…
As we all know Glenn is the hardest working ‘purpler’ of them all so…
I’m sure it would be hell of a great show with Unrighteous brothers again on one stage, but sadly it isn’t happening ‘this time around’…
And just to get you mad-MARK III IS THE BEST MARK(not MARK…B A N D) EVER!
December 26th, 2008 at 01:36Purple died at Liverpool Empire…period
Everything after is just killing the great legend(and I saw them 4 times in ’90’s)…but it’s their band not mine…
And,yes,I know MARK IV played Liverpool Empire….
December 26th, 2008 at 01:38go figure!
Bad news. 🙁
December 26th, 2008 at 04:44ok, so now just do a show with all deep purple line up…
December 26th, 2008 at 11:40AW Hell, Now we will never know it they both would have performed “BURN”. OR if DC would have requested that Glenn not sung during his set & do the dual singing of the original during the ‘snake show.
December 26th, 2008 at 11:59heck of a bass player too. would of been a great show with two of the best singers. hopefully, they would make a top 100 vocalist list of all time. hold your breath though, they are part of the DP family.
December 26th, 2008 at 13:12I knew it was too good to be true! With D.C.´s recent vocal fuck ups, he sure could´ve use for some boost up his arse in the shape of Glenn “Superlungs” Hughes!!
D.C. sure can use the holidays to evaluate his future, and figure out what his next move´s gonna be!!
December 26th, 2008 at 15:49Amen Stefan,
Glenn is light years ahead of DC now. It wouldn’t do to have the WS fans here a decent version of Burn from the warm up act.
December 26th, 2008 at 18:11Since when do the media get much right… no surprise here at all.
December 26th, 2008 at 18:35Thanks for listening and posting the correction Highway Star!!!

December 26th, 2008 at 23:30they need to do a reuinion …….. no one is gettin younger “or tighter”
December 27th, 2008 at 07:19I would love to see them on stage together, BUT after the last Whitesnake show Gleen is lightyears ahead of David when it comes to the voice. Only when David accept that he is NOT a screaming but rock/blues singer he will be back in that league where Gleen is. Look at Ian Gillan. He knows 100% how to sing today. We just need David to see the light again.
December 27th, 2008 at 09:11To all 1-14
I’m agree with you all except the reunion tour.
I hope Dave invites Glenn (or Glenn invites Dave)to join him sing on one song. I preferred Sail Away, Highball Shooter, or You Keep On Moving. Burn? No waaay!!
December 29th, 2008 at 13:17IF DC’s voice is down the pan….Glenn would be an idiot to share the stage with him……
