We’re just musicians
A very amusing and offbeat interview with Roger taken probably in the summer of 2007 when the band was touring North America and stopped in Chicago. Roger handles the reporter (who had one too many) with his usual class and eloquence.
Their website also has transcripts of two lengthy and rather interesting interviews with Roger and Steve (not the same as in the above footage).
Roger Glover talks with Ken Payne about:
• Writing music with the band as a unit
• Ritchie Blackmore’s departure (In the middle of a tour!)
• Jamming with Steve Morse
• Being a producer
• How he met Ronnie James Dio
An in-depth conversation between Steve Morse and Kim Katz on:
• Being a pilot
• Joining Deep Purple
• Steve’s new project with Sarah Spencer
• Stem cell treatment
• Staging a protest in high school
• Guitarist awards
• An unusually cool wedding
Read them both at Buzznews.net.
Thanks to Andrey Gusenkov for spotting this.
ZEN STATEMENT??????? RIGHT, RIGHT, RIGHT, RIGHT. JUST DROP THE DRESS.

September 17th, 2008 at 18:12Who is this woman?? My god she´s annoying! One just want to dig out the ducktape and strip & gag her!!
September 17th, 2008 at 20:59WOW!! what a class act Glover is to do the interview even when it is obvious that Ms. Drescher doesn’t have a clue……..
September 17th, 2008 at 22:14There should just be a Youtube partner link here, designated to Deep Purple, for those who don’t get wind of things over there. LOL! She’s no better than “Radio Chick” who DJ’s on the east coast and happens to be Carmine Appice’s girlfriend… they’re about the same speed.
Every once in a while, I’m sure they find this more interesting than talking about the same old stuff… or do they?[sic]
September 17th, 2008 at 22:51A handsome and very amiable reporter. Untypical indeed.:DDD
October 11th, 2008 at 08:15Roger has a big sense of humour as usual.
Careful Roger…..you might slip down that cleavage!
Hands up who would climb in to rescue him.
