Change in lineup – Sep 10
Unfortunately Bernie has just reported a lineup change: no Adrian Smith due to other commitments but we now have more Marillion members playing an acoustic Marillion set (Steve Hogarth, Steve Rothery and Pete Trevewas). Everything else remains as was! Very few tickets left now!

Its a wonder JLT isnt appearing

Probably not from lack of trying!

    Roberto says:

why ‘roger daltrey is written’ so big?
adrian smith from iron maiden and don airey are popular as daltrey…
the big written should be Bernie Marsden

  3. 3
    AndreA says:

    and Guinness?

  4. 4
    Ulfinho says:

    @ Roberto

Adrian Smith and Don Airey are as popular as Roger Daltrey??? You gotta be kidding! Geez, Daltrey was/is the singer of one of the best and most influential bands of all times (much more influential than DP, sorry), while Airey was more a session musician than real band member for some great artists, for sure, but certainly not a star! I have the impression he became more famous since he joined the Purps, though. And Adrian Smith is “only” one of 3 guitarists of a band, where the singer and the bass-player are the real stars! He rules, though, as does Airey, and Daltrey’s voice is ridiculous nowadays, but hey – Daltrey is THE STAR of that line-up. Thus it’s only logical that his name his written bigger than the names of the others!

You are right though: Bernie Marsden’s name should be the biggest one of the bunch, because he organizes this event! But he’s even less famous than Airey and Smith 😉 And the purpose of a poster like this one is to interest as many people as possible!

By the way, which members of Marillion? Why aren’t they mentioned by name?

    Roberto says:

The ‘Who’ are much more influentil than Deep purple???
    now You are kidding…..

    Karl-Heinz says:

This will be a very special event.
Bernie Marsden is a great and kind musician.

    Enjoy! If you can.

PS: Although I’m not a “The Who” fan I think Roger Daltrey is the only worldstar of the artists mentioned.

And have also in mind that Roger Daltrey is…IMMORTAL! Do you remember him in “Highlander The Series” as one of Duncan McLoud’s best friends? LOL!

    Ulfinho says:

    @ Roberto:

No, I’m not kidding, but a discussion like this is obsolete. Even you will probably admit that The Who with Dalthey were more influential than DP (or Rainbow or Ozzy or Whitesnake) with Airey are/were. And as I (and Karl Heinz) said – he’s definately the most famous person on the billing!

  9. 9
    Roberto says:

He could be the most famous person on the bill,
but for sure ‘Who’ are not more influential than deep purple…I think the opposite.Deep purple influenced thousands of hard rock and heavy metal bands, while ‘Who’ influenced who?some modern indie rock bands?or some trash/punk bands?
In my country ‘Who’ are not more popular than Deep purple.Yes ‘Who’ are big allover the world but they are so famous especially in England while for Deep purple is the opposite.
Personally, listening to their music(I own almost their albums),I like them, especially ‘baba o riley’ which I play with my band, but I would not even compare them to Deep purple….’cause they are far better

I sure hope it could be released as a CD too!

    brandoit luc says:

    What a pity !
Why the place on the bill is so important for all thoses peoples…
We have the oppoutunities to see and hear all those great musician in a special collaboration, the only pleasure must be the combination of the talent of them.I like the “one night band” with people the story retain the name not in the same band: collaboration like this is for pleasure..
Thanks mr Marsden, one more time you play with your feeling the music you love: continue..

    Bo says:

    Come on!!!
Both The Who and DP are VERY influental, but that said Roger Daltry is the biggest of all these names – no doubt about that. I love DP and they will to my finale minute in life be my band. If it was Gillan or Lord or Blackmore – yes then we where talking about HUGE stars on level with Daltry. With all respect Don (superior grat guy) is not on that level but are these days getting closer.

    Héctor de San Martín says:

Deep Purple and then ….. THE DARKNESS !!!
Now I´m kidding (but not much). All can recognize bands like TW (and their influence), but we want to see DP members in the highest places. This should be only justice.

  14. 14
    Roberto says:

Daltrey is the most famous on this bill
Who are not more influential than Deep purple

    stefan says:

Come on guys, stop this “my hero is more famous than..” crap, you´re missing the point! It´s about charity and not about egos and if Bernie can attract Daltrey….great, who knows who he can put on the bill next year?

And just for the record…David Coverdale has stated on numerous occassions, that his greatest heros from day one was The Who! Their influence can´t be denied on countless musicians over the years! Personally I think they´ve done as much crap as good things, and Daltrey have never been my cup of tea, but I can appreciate those who think they´re great!Awright…who´s next???

  16. 16
    Sami says:

Surely The Darkness are the most influental of ’em all 🙂

  17. 17
    Annemie says:

    Cheers AndreA 😉

    Tracy Heyder says:

Surely it is obvious to all here, that Daltry is the most widely known personality on this ticket, no matter your personal taste or appeal in music. To refute that would be pure denial. As to why Marsden isn’t the main name listed, due to it being HIS GIG, is another question. Except for the fact that Daltry would be the Draw for a larger crowd. Ticket sales are the motive here after all, as with any gig.

It’s funny how certain fans take every little thing so personal, as if everyone else in the world sees through their ‘microvision glasses’

    Cheers

My favorite is some tuna between some clam lips, smothered in pink sauce. A little anus on the side, if it is prepped properly.

Oh, and always……some Tennessee Whiskey to bathe it in first….

    Cheers and Bottoms Up….
