Fall tour schedule update
The are more developments in the Fall tour schedule:
- All Russian dates in October are now confirmed.
- Another gig has been confirmed for Israel: Caesaria on September 18. Please note, that the September 7th show in Caesaria has disappeared from the tour dates list on both official sites, despite the claim by Jerusalem Post that it is going ahead. So far, this leaves us with 3 confirmed shows in Israel (Sep. 8, 9 and 18) and one unconfirmed (Sep. 7)
- The gig in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia on Sep. 5 also had disappeared from the official listings. However, we have an unconfirmed report that it is being rescheduled for September 7. We are trying to verify this story.
Please report of any developments in the local press to our news crew.
This concludes our mix of fact and rumour for today.
Thanks to Jerusalem Post, deep-purple.ru and deep-purple.com for the info.

August 25th, 2008 at 07:58where’s the US dates !!!!!!!!????????????
August 25th, 2008 at 17:53WOW Sami,
August 26th, 2008 at 19:15Fantastic 😀 and let the countdown begin…
I’d love to see them hit the states…but why would they when they r in much bigger demand in Europe et al….
August 27th, 2008 at 03:08US dates without something new to present is useless, let alone anywhere else… but I suppose there are those who’ve never seen them and would have them even if they weren’t affected by endless world touring and hadn’t put a record out in ten years… it takes all kinds, I swear.
August 27th, 2008 at 21:23To Chrimson Ghost you must be a big fan they put out an album every 2 – 3 years between tours, besides Steve Morse has other projects beside DP the Dixie Dregs , Steve Morse Band and other side projects. It is too bad this version of DP gets hardly any radio airplay to support any tour in Los Angeles but We go see them anyway because they are one of the greatest surviving bands of a los generation.
August 27th, 2008 at 22:04the firs gig in israel (07-09) moved to 17-09
August 28th, 2008 at 19:50I know what their output is, I was speaking hypothetically there.
September 1st, 2008 at 23:58It is too bad, but nobody else gets much airplay or exposure these days that are worth much anyway.
Cheers from the west coast.
……well maybe this will sound bad,but you could have them over 30 years in the west. And now we love them to see often in the East and I am just so looking forwards for next Ukrain gig….
September 10th, 2008 at 19:25What’s wrong with Holland? They play Germany and Belgium so they are in the neighbourhood and they are stil great here.
September 11th, 2008 at 07:31Don Airey is not Deep Purple. Steve Morse too.
And Paul Rogers is not Queen.
September 11th, 2008 at 07:54If Don & Steve aren’t Purple, then neither are Roger & Ian G. which leaves only Ian P as he is the only original member left.
September 12th, 2008 at 02:47Cheers
Phil
R, you suck. Dont quit your day job
September 15th, 2008 at 04:31The last 2 Official Deep Purple records I bought (Bananas and
Rapture of the Deep) had Steve Morse and Don Airey listed as Band members. The last 5 or 6 Concerts I attended also had Steve Morse and Don Airey playing……..
They ARE DEEP PURPLE!!!!!!
Now, Ritchie is NOT Deep Purple. He is in the Forest playing Minstrel and Jon Lord is doing his wimpy Orchestal blah.
By all means, go listen to that stuff….It really Kicks Ass….NOT!
Cheers
