Paris Moon is #1 in New Age charts
Latest Blackmore’s Night DVD Paris Moon has been enjoying chart success, albeit in a niche market. The DVD (with accompanying CD) was released in early November. It has been at the top of the New Age Reporter radio charts ever since: November and December. The chart is compiled based on the radio play reports by the New Age format radio stations from across USA.
Thanks to Mike Garrett for the info.
New age…..???? Should´nt it have been “Old age” or “Ancient” chart???
January 20th, 2008 at 20:27I actually enjoy Blackmore’s Night; start a fire, play some Blackmore’s Night, and throw back a few Bud Lights. It’s quite relaxing! But that’s just me.
January 21st, 2008 at 03:28Well deserved. Good for Blackmore’s Night. This DVD is far superior to the previous one with some great performances by Blackmore and the band and includes a lot of guitar work. If you have seen it, you’ll know what I’m talking about. If not, you’re missing out.
January 21st, 2008 at 03:36New Age chart?who cares about it?
January 21st, 2008 at 12:03I hope Ritchie will top the Rock charts with a new Rainbow album!
Come on! We want you to rock!
Just as good as the real thing.Saw them in October and they’re fantastic, even with the new bass player and back-up vocalist.
January 21st, 2008 at 15:02Is ths.com DEEP PURPLE WEBSITE or the website of ANY member and project which is somehow connected to DP past members?
January 21st, 2008 at 17:43Can’t stand it…
Dear Mmm! I think you´ve totally lost the plot!!!!
January 21st, 2008 at 22:55NOT again.
Fools (BIG time fools) who just cant let RB do what he wants to do.
Jon Lord is playing concertos – is that better? Gillan has short hair is that ok?
I would LOVE to see Mrk II or III back again, but it might never happen, so I have to deal with it, but it took me a LOOOONG time to do that.
Mmm.. Dont read ths.com. You dont have it in you – just to accept what these amazing people are doing. They love what they do – and that is enough for me.
January 21st, 2008 at 23:26Please, spare us… Stefan, I think you’ve lost the plot… I hope Ritchie is enjoying his 200 seater gigs.. The day d.p. plays with Ritchie is the day I’m out!! I’m sure Ian would never allow that to happen… Yes, Ian & his mates rule the band, it’s not a one man show anymore!!!!
January 22nd, 2008 at 00:51i was at the show in charlotte ‘and was there in michigan to one of the canceled shows” and lets juss say it was a magical night !! the band was wonderful/ ritchie’s playing better now than in his whole carrer!

January 22nd, 2008 at 18:20blackmore still plays well.. check out soldier of fortune on the new dvd its rather fab. I saw an awesome rainbow tribute band on sat.. they are called rainbow rising and barry blackmore was excellent. I reckon a JLT fronted rainbow tour could happen after all blackmore likes working with girls!
January 22nd, 2008 at 21:05Right On….big al……..I just watched a DVD trailer for Big Noise on You Tube, JLT is the frontman for this gig and well, lets just say you should see it for yourself..(and yes.. Blackmore still plays well, just not my cup of tea)
January 22nd, 2008 at 23:19please listen the track 11.last of the wilds from nightwish, dark passion play cd,the heavyband of the moment, yes the megaband from the 21 century, je!, and that is very similar-equal- to the blackmore´s music. where is the old age or ancient music?, the old and ancient music maybe is in DP, tell me which good modern band play like Morse DP?(yes the influencies was from the seventies DP)
January 23rd, 2008 at 00:55P.D. i love DP but i love Blackmores night
New material in new Rainbow with mr. blackmore blast to DP in music (morse DP), production, present contemporary sound.
PATRICK, I WAS ALSO AT THE CHARLOTTE SHOW. FANTASTIC. THEY ALMOST DID NOT MAKE IT BECAUSE RITCHIE HAD THE FLU FOR 2 WEEKS BEFORE THIS ONE. WE HUNG OUT WITH 4 OF THE BAND MEMBERS AT THE ENGLISH PUB DOWN THE STREET THAT NIGHT. JOE, THE BACK UP VOCALIST WHO REPLACED THE TWINS WILL BE GLAD TO HEAR YOU SAY THAT BECAUSE I TOLD HER THE SAME THING AND SHE SAID SHE WAS REALLY GLAD BECAUSE OF HEARING ABOUT NOTHING BUT THE TWINS FOR MONTHS. COLD RAINY NIGHT IN CHARLOTTE MADE WARM BY THIS GREAT PERFORMANCE. HEY JOHN, THERE ARE NO 200 SEAT GIGS, BUT THERE ARE NO 20,000 SEAT GIGS ANYMORE EITHER. HAD A CHANCE TO FLIP A PAGE ON YOUR CALENDER IN THE LAST 20 YEARS?
January 23rd, 2008 at 04:58I was in attendance for a Ian Gillan solo show in 1996, about 200 people were there. One of the best shows and most fun I ever had! I would definitely attend a Blackmore’s Night show, no matter what size the venue. Ritchie how about Minnesota in 2008? We have an awesome renaissance festival!
January 23rd, 2008 at 18:27Gillan did a solo show in 1996?how it is possible?
January 24th, 2008 at 11:55Sorry about that TYPO! 2006!!
