Last night Deep Purple rocked Ecuadorian soil at the Teatro Agora to an almost Olympian perfection. If it would not have been for the electronic failure at the start of Rapture of the Deep, which was quickly overcome. Wow – each member show cased virtuosity and the zeal of what makes Purple unique. Great show, and God Bless you all!
October 29th, 2011 at 12:25Well, this is the second time I’ve seen live Deep Purple in Quito. This time I think they been even better. Steve Morse sounded especially fine, on the song they opened the show (Highway Star) he reproduced almost exactly the well know solo by Ritchie. The best song to my acknowledge: Hard Lovin’ Man (which sounded incredible). Most well received songs by the crowd: Perfect Strangers, Smoke on the Water, Black Night. Ian Paice didn’t make a solo. The venue was three quarters full. The crowd was mixed: old, young, rich and poor people, men and women.
