Witnessed another great gig of Over The Rainbow , in Belgium this time.
The ENERGY of the band is impressive and did not get bored for one second.
I hoped for a bit of setlistchanges.
Personal favourites like EYES OF FIRE, Tearing Out My Heart, Love s No Friend and Stranded for example.
But in that department it was a bit of a dissappointment, including an skipping altogether of Gates Of babylon, a song that went down great during the 2009 tour.
One very nice and surprising slot of the evening came when we got invited by Paul Morris, the by now hopefully permanent keyboardplayer, to join the party afterwards and drink something in a nearby pub.
Jurgen asked us our opinion on the setlist.
He shocked me by saying that they could not, like I suggested, skip Since You Ve Been Gone because it always is requested, like SOTW with DP!!!
Gregg Smith told me that the new studiowork was on its way and that they are trying to blend all stages of RAINBOW with their own new input.
Everyone in the band is playing with great heart and espescially Rondinelli showed that he is the real backbone ON STAGE of this outfit.
Later maybe more about this gig.
Btw, I ve been told Tony Carey is following us everyday!
Hi Tony!!!
